10:45AM IL: The Um el-Fahm flag march has ended and a number of people were lightly injured by rocks, including Deputy Police Chief Shachar Ayalon, who transported himself to Chadera’s Hillel Yafeh Hospital for treatment.
Police were compelled to use water cannons and stun grenades as the violence and rock-throwing became uncontrollable.
One police horse was also injured in a leg.
Taking advantage of the situation, a number of Neturei Karta supporters protested alongside Um el-Fahm residents against the flag event. (Yechiel Spira – YWN Israel)
I didn’t hear anything about how many arabs were arrested and/or had to hospitalized. I know how brutal and violent the police were towards “right-wing” Jews at places like Amona, Bet HaShalom, and other places, when the Jews weren’t even behaving violently, – SO, I assume when arabs ARE being violent, throwing rocks, injuring police, etc., that certainly the police must have come charging in on their huge german horses, trampling the arabs, and swinging their clubs with a vengeance! And yet… as I said, I didn’t hear about arab casualties and arrests. Nuuuuuu….
