11 people were hospitalized Saturday following a possible boat explosion near the Haulover Sandbar in Miami, with several victims suffering burns and traumatic injuries, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Witnesses said multiple people were blown off the boat after the engine was started without opening the hatches or turning on the blowers, causing the vessel to burst into flames within minutes. Officials said the cause remains under investigation.
