An antisemitic attack unfolded near the Osbaldeston Road Bus Stop (UA) by Clapton Common, where a male suspect assaulted multiple visibly Orthodox Jewish women using a belt while screaming vile racial abuse.

The suspect also allegedly spat at a Shomrim volunteer and continued hurling antisemitic insults at responders.

Shomrim volunteers arrived within minutes, detained the suspect, and handed him over to the Metropolitan Police.

Police say the suspect was arrested for racially aggravated public order offenses and assault. He has since been charged with five offenses and remanded to appear in court.
