Senior Shin Bet officials recently expressed serious concerns ahead of Israel’s upcoming election campaign over fears of potential fraud and attempts by internal actors to manipulate the results, Army Radio reported on Wednesday morning.

The issue has reportedly been designated a major “flagship project” within the agency, with extensive resources being allocated to address it.

Senior figures within the organization privately described the risk as “a genuine concern” and emphasized that the Shin Bet is treating the issue with exceptional seriousness, dedicating extensive resources to the enforcement, prevention, and disruption of any attempts to undermine the democratic process.

The Shin Bet declined to comment on the report.
