Israel to Pursue Legal Action Against The New York Times Over Kristof Column on Alleged Detainee Abuse

PM Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar have ordered legal action against The New York Times over a column accusing Israeli soldiers and prison guards of systematic abuse of Palestinian detainees.

The article, written by jew hating journalist Nicholas Kristof, cited allegations from 14 Palestinian terrorists and included “claims” of severe mistreatment and violence. Netanyahu later accused the newspaper and Kristof of spreading a “blood libel.”

The move came a day after Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Ministry published a report alleging that one of the key sources cited in the column, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, is linked to Hamas.
