🚨 ARSON ATTEMPT: Fire Set In Jewish Residential Building In London’s Golders Green

Police are investigating an attempted arson attack at a predominantly Jewish residential building in London’s Golders Green neighborhood after a suspect allegedly set a fire inside a communal stairwell before fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning at a block of flats on Bridge Lane, NW11, where many of the residents are Jewish families.

According to reports from the scene, residents were alerted by a fire alarm and discovered that a suspect had deliberately started a fire in the building’s communal stairwell. The individual reportedly fled after being confronted by residents.

A quick-thinking resident acted immediately to extinguish the flames, preventing what could have become a far more serious tragedy. No injuries were reported.

Members of Shomrim responded to the scene and recovered evidence believed to have been left behind by the suspect. The organization is assisting police with CCTV inquiries and other aspects of the investigation.

Authorities have not yet announced a motive, and investigators are working to determine whether the attack was specifically targeted at the Jewish community.

Shomrim said it continues to support affected residents while working closely with law enforcement as the investigation progresses.

Police are urging anyone with information or relevant CCTV footage to come forward.
