A 29-year-old man was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after suddenly collapsing inside a shul in Jerusalem’s Ramat Eshkol neighborhood.

Emergency responders arriving at the scene found the man unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. Hatzalah, MDA, and United Hatzalah volunteers immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, ventilation, and the use of a defibrillator.

After prolonged lifesaving efforts, the man’s heart began beating again. He was transported by MDA intensive care ambulance to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in serious but stable condition for further treatment.
