Being a chossid isn’t about what minhagim you keep or how you dress. Sadly in this day and age there are many who think being a chossid is their appearance and they put a lot of work into such. Meanwhile puting down others not as strict or who dress differently than them. Perhaps the same divide that existed between the scholars and simple people in Europe is the divide between levels of religious observance and perception of religious observance today? While there may be benefits to these minhagim and these modes of dress they do not actually express chassidus at all. Chassidus is something which must be learned and absorbed into ones character traits. Chassidus is taking the teachings from the Rebbe and like the baal shem tov who wrote in the letter we have from him… yafutzu m’yanois chutza which will bring moshiach. So to answer your question as to how will their children turn out? That depends on the parents decision as to what type of education they will receive and upon the child as he/she grows older as to how they will liver their life
