That’s not at all stupid – it’s the numbers on the right side of a full-size keyboard.
On some laptops that don’t have a full-size keyboard, you can press a key combination (which may or may not be available, and varies by manufacturer) to turn some of the alphabetic keys into numeric keypad keys.
On my PC, m=0, j=1, k=2, l=3, u=4, i=5, o=6, 7=7, 8=8, 9=9, with other keys getting the + – etc. key assignments.
