ethics, principles, and morals are based on underlying philosophies. they’re not arbitrary statements assumed at whim.
if it’s to be assumed slavery is wrong, there has to be an underlying philosophy. what underlying philosophy is there that will change based on the generation?
*the underlying philosophy as I see it is the inherent value of humans which transcends a monetary, propertial status. additionally, the equalness of people eliminates a possibility of one human arresting ownership over another.
use this philosophy or not, so long as u explain what changed throughout the generations.
