I never listened to Non-Jewish music, but I do know (thanks to Lo Shinu class) that Non-Jewish music is not allowed. Also, the words don’t determine if it’s Jewish or not, it’s the tune. I think that Yaakov Shwekey, Avraham Fried, Simche Friedman,Benny Friedman, 8th day, Ari Goldwag, Miami Boys Choir, Yeshivah Boys Choir, Abie Rottenberg, Baruch Levine, etc. are good singers to listen to. They don’t take from Non-Jewish music, as far as I know. My opinion is to drop it because music connects you to the composer on the highest level, and you don’t want to be connected to a Goy. I have a friend who’s going through this struggle. She pretty much dropped it and we now have Kumzitzs together as a class
