It’s one thing when a Tzaddik or a Rebbe is m’kadeish a tune from the street; or a Carlbach niggun; or adapts a waltz or a peasant’s song.
When T’fila is sung to Goyish tunes, you are in all likelyhood also thinking of the goyish words rather than the t’fila exclusively.
