i get the feeling from the op, that although he wishes to try and collect the fee in this case, he sounds like he doesnt want to make his shadchanus in general a “business” and would probably be uncomfortable discussing payment up front. sounds like he gets a lot of pleasure in doing this as well as some Parnassah?
