1. there HAVE been some significant problems, though nothing of a terrible nature, that have occurred between posters here in the cr because of the unwarranted exchange of personal information.
2. i know 42 well. he is a mentch and an erliche Yid.
3. 42 is also very astute and has usually been the first to discover new joseph identities.
4. his intentions here were honest and for the sake of keeping the cr a safe place. his acerbic wit was displayed purely towards joseph, from whom 42 has had a great deal of frustration and agmas nefesh in the past
5. it seems that in this case, the first that i can think of, he has made a mistake. (although with joseph one can never be quite sure)
6. he has stated publicly that he now ALSO believes he may have made a mistake in this. A MISTAKE…this can happen, even to 42. he has admitted this. he has apologized for this. he has asked ayc for mechilah for this. he has tried to mend the rift between himself and ayc.
7. this should never have gotten to this unpleasant point.
i think it is time to end it now and let it be dropped.
8. ayc, i think it would be proper for you to state your mechilah in your next post. if i am on your good list (i dont remember) then i would ask you, if necessary, as a personal favor, to offer your mechila to 42 now. if i am on your other list then i would ask you to disregard this fact and do it because it is the right thing to do, it would be a chesed to a Yid (mod-42) who stands in the Good Graces of Hashem, and i believe is very distressed by the (well intentioned) mistake he has made.
