If they feel it is raglayim l’davar they themselves should report it straight to the DA’s office and skip going to the police because in Brooklyn, they have a deal with the DA’s office and they will handle things on the QT. They were also told NOT to get the family of the victim involved with the DA but to handle it themselves and keep the victim and the family quiet.
