I don’t get involved in Israeli politics, but unfortunately the “treif” designation based on non-food related issues is more prevalent there than it is here. (Pepsi anyone?) But as far as halacha goes, the chalav stam category applies only in the USA. Israeli products do need to be “colov Yisroel.” If I can extrapolate for the Yoshon issue – American products that are made chodosh can NOT be sold/consumed in Eretz Yisroel where the halachos of Yoshon are unquestionably D’Oraisa (Sam Adams beer sold in E”Y is Yoshon!). Does the same apply for chalav Yisroel? If it does, then Hagan-Daaz should not be sold in E”Y either.
