yeah, i was just going to say. everyone’s different. my friend’s father died and he was dying to go out and smoke and talk and be normal and have normal conversations and stuff. but when my cousins were sitting shiva they couldn’t take even a drop of that. any little thing anyone said to distract them got them very upset.
i think part of it is how sudden or shocking the death was. my uncle died suddenly, while my friend’s father was sick for years.
