a little while back a few of my friends got blackberries and we were talking about it and one of my friends agreed with me that it is pathetic for a young girl just out of high school to have a blackberry just so she can be near her emails all day. Today I find out that she is getting one herself! Besides the fact that she is a hypocrite, it got me thinking…..what do young girls need it for anyhow?

I dont know if I would call her a hypocrite… that seems a bit harsh. She gave in to temptation.
Personally, I have a BB, don’t remember what life was like before this lifesaver came around.

These young girls are looking to get married. Either treat them like adults or children.
You want them to be an adult, why shouldn’t they act like one?
they don’t need it at all. Its basically a toy for adults. (unless they truly need it for business…)

Who’s to judge? Why does anyone need anything? Does anyone have the right to judge why? Shouldn’t the owner of any object be the only one that has the right to an opinion on why they “need” anything unless someone else is paying for it.
people like to feel important, when their blackberry is beeping every three seconds from an email, bbm or text it makes them feel special perhaps?? i love traveling abroad without giving out my cellphone number…if theres an emergency, call 911 there are no emergencies in accounting, and unless you have high end clients who expect you to be on call 24/7, i dont see a reason for a blackberry.
I’m not judging but I dont think that a young girl should have one. Its a waist of money and totally a tool for the worst that she has. Once you’re back from sem. fine, but until then, why in the world? A phone should be enuf.
well every reason a young girl shouldn’t have one should be the same reason a young boy shouldn’t have one
I know of a of a young aidel girl who carries a blackberry ( she is really not someone you would expect to have one). Apparently she is in nursing school and is required to carry with her on her hospital rotations a certain software that contains a list of drugs and their purposes. Blackberries are one of the few phones that can have this software installed in them.
