Do boys who learn and go to college at night generally start working (at least part time) as soon as they finish their degree. By agreeing to a boy in this situation, are you agreeing that he will stop learning full time as soon as college is up? Have you heard of boys who get the degree and continue learning for 2-3 years later and then start working?

Also – which hours are considered “at night”? Does “night” start from 3:30 and continue til 9? or is it literally a person that is in college just when it is dark outside? Meaning he learns in kollel the whole day and then goes to college at night as an aside – maybe 1 or 2 classes each semester.

It probably varies from program to program.

For me, it meant seder until 5:30, so I could make a 6:00 class. When there was no class (legal holidays, between semesters, etc.) then I stayed until the end of the day (7:30 or 8:00 IIRC — it was quite a while ago).

In any event, I can’t imagine someone going to college at night ending later than 5:30 – 6:00. There aren’t too many colleges that start classes at 9:00 PM.

Let’s get back to the OP.

Will you get “good” girls redt to you? Depends on your definition of “good.” If your definition includes a dress size of 0, movie star looks with beautician’s makeup, a father who’s a Rosh Yeshiva, or at least rich, and ten years’ guaranteed support, then you won’t get “good” girls.

If you’re looking for someone with good midos, intelligent, attractive but not cover-girl gorgeous, with a nice, emotionally-supportive family, then you’ll get them.

Especially since you won’t have to worry about gouging money from your shver, sending your wife to wait in the welfare office for food stamps, and arguing about how much money you can spend on Shabbos.

She will be able to – bizarre thought – not work full time but actually stay home and raise your children.

Midwest2, why do you assume that the size 0 models go for the learners and the next grade below go for learn + college? I don’t think there is any significant correlation.
