It’s been a while and I need a new black hat. Where can I get one in Monsey? Are there any stores that are priced better than others?

December 21, 2023 6:58 am at 6:58 am #2248384GorshParticipantThis Main Street spot caters to a classic menswear clientele and has a fantastic selection of black hats, including Stetsons and Panamas. Their prices are on the higher end, but the quality is top-notch.

December 21, 2023 4:49 pm at 4:49 pm #2248456mylogic37ParticipantThere is search engine called google….
Monsey Hat Box, Cuff and Co and the hat source to name a few. Hats today are super expensive to me at least.
There is another option which my son has tried for a weekday hat. He is a bochur up in Yeshiva of Rochester (NY). There is a Rebbe there that has a side business that has a website yeshivish hats dot com (all one word). There pricing is very reasonable for those that cannot afford or want to spend $200+ on hats. I guess you will need to know your hat size since it’s online, unless you happen to be driving by the area.
I do NOT know about quality or anything else. You can always ask for references I guess. They have a few google reviews and they have testimonials on their website.

December 21, 2023 4:55 pm at 4:55 pm #2248499amiricanyeshivishParticipantFor a non chasidish hat most people go to Hatbox or Cuff n Co
December 21, 2023 4:56 pm at 4:56 pm #2248518hujuParticipantBest way to save money on a hat in Monsey is to (1) move out of Monsey, and (2) become a goy.
December 22, 2023 2:25 am at 2:25 am #2248635AshifromrocklandParticipantWhat most of us from monsey do when we need a hat is drive to Brooklyn (or Lakewood) and visit the borsalino stores there.
Unless it’s really urgent it’s worthwhile to wait a few weeks until you need to be in one of those towns.
When I needed a hat last I waited for the next time I went for a wedding I went in a bit early to shop for one.December 22, 2023 7:03 am at 7:03 am #2248642GadolhadorahParticipantBuy a shtreimal and make the local chapter of PETA happy
December 22, 2023 7:04 am at 7:04 am #2248661GorshParticipantIf you ever stumble upon a hidden hat haven closer to Monsey, you know you gotta share the secret!
December 23, 2023 6:35 pm at 6:35 pm #2248692Yabia OmerParticipantI wonder why Monsey can’t support a hat store a d people have to drive to Brooklyn or Lakewood
December 23, 2023 6:38 pm at 6:38 pm #2248705Dr. EParticipantIs there a place that sells that are grey or blue?
December 28, 2023 12:36 pm at 12:36 pm #2249863TheRockParticipantAmazon has quite the selection. Search for fedora.
