To all those who love being in Galut: the Ohr Sameach said that if someone thinks that Berlin is his Yerushalayim Hashem will show him otherwise.June 14, 2013 11:59 pm at 11:59 pm #963619shtatier.than.youMember
Who ever said that Canada is better than Israel?June 15, 2013 12:16 am at 12:16 am #963620littlefishyMember
Spiritually, I think it would be a better place to live for a Jew. They would have the opportunity to live where our ancestors have lived and traveled, and where amazing nisim have occured. Otherwise, it’s just another country with its own government philosophies, and society. One might like it, one might dislike it. So it doesn’t mean the person is against judaism or anything like that if they prefer a different country over Israel. Just sayin’June 16, 2013 4:15 pm at 4:15 pm #963621HealthParticipant
Mr. Doniel- “Montreal bagels are misshapen”
Misshapen or Not, but they are the best in the world and I’m a born and bred American (US).June 16, 2013 4:25 pm at 4:25 pm #963622HealthParticipant
tzaddiq -“not for nothing montreal-style bagels are famous and emulated in dozens of other cities.”
I don’t anywhere that tries to emulate them, but even if somewhere tries -they can’t do it.June 16, 2013 4:42 pm at 4:42 pm #963623benignumanParticipant
Montreal bagels and doughnuts (the ones from Homemade Bakery) are the best.
And here I am stuck in the United States. Sigh.June 16, 2013 4:50 pm at 4:50 pm #963624Avi KParticipant
Littlefishy, Israel is not just another country. It is the representative of Am Yisrael and a refutation of the claims of other religions that Hashem c”v divorced us.Someone who actually prefers another country is over on the sin of the Spies.June 16, 2013 6:29 pm at 6:29 pm #963625

Hey, I’m not a lumberjack, or a fur trader….
I don’t live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled….
and I don’t know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I’m certain they’re really really nice.
I have a Prime Minister, not a president.
I speak English and French, not American.
And I pronounce it ‘about’, not ‘a boot’.
I can proudly sew my country’s flag on my backpack.
I believe in peace keeping, not policing,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,
and it is pronounced ‘zed’ not ‘zee’, ‘zed’ !!!!
Canada is the second largest landmass!
The first nation of hockey!
and the best part of North America
My name is Joe!!
And I am Canadian!!!
Its all true, except that peacekeeping/policing part. sort of. 🙂July 3, 2013 9:50 pm at 9:50 pm #963633
