It used to be that you went in the CR there were some pretty interesting topics. Now 90% of the conversations that go on in the CR are either the most ridiculous threads or threads that are just being repeated with a different opening topic. Is it just me or do other ppl feel the same way??

Sem20 & says who; Sorry. It must be You (Yous guys & gal.) To me the topics (and the posters, with some of the problems they’re kvetching about) are as refreshing as a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Possibly. You overdosed on the coffee, or had too much sugar (or Splenda, for the politically correct.) in the coffee. Indeed. I observed, that some topics are left dormant for a long time. At least those that I posted on.
Agreed. The CR used to have good debating, not fighting, attacking and name calling! ok, maybe some, but mostly not.
I for one want the good old CR back!
Kapusta; You ( and all the other “Kvetches”) can contribute to improving the quality of the CR by making an effort to debate issues instead of ad Hominem attacks. Pleasde don’t take it personally. (As some other poster has.) I really meant everyone. Including myself. If we will all do our share, there will be nothing left to kvetch about.
I agree 100 percent.
MANY threads are repeats and therefore boring.
And the bashing here is terrible lately.

The posts are indeed repeating itself.
I’ve been posing for over a year already and I remember a lot of similar or even identical threads.
some are really fascinating but others are a bit trivial.
Perhaps we can do some cosmetic changes in the coffee room & make it more blog like. When an individual posts a blog they share valuable information either professional, life experience or other. Some examples: a CPA can share some new tax laws (late in coming out this year), a parent of a special child can share some tips in coping or services, mortgage broker pros & cons of various mortgages, etc.
The entire coffee room will benefit!

I think the boring threads happen because anything thats a bit more interesting or controversial gets closed very soon.
