All those that have something worthwhile to say on the matter- please do not hesitate to do so. Whereas all those that do not have something POSITIVE to add to this already disastrous situation, please keep it to yourselves.

ames, we know you’re reading. and squeak, i’m going to assume you’re not that cold and that you’re probably sticking around without dropping a post.
first of all, i want to apologize if i had anything to do with this. i apologize to both of you and to the entire coffeeroom.
ames, you don’t know what kind of shock i was in when i read your message last night. basically, i read it twice, then shut my computer and went to sleep. it’s not gonna be any fun without you. and that’s only the beginning of it. never mind the fun, you’ve really given me chizuk. i know i’m an idiot and i argue my head off, but i really do take what you say to heart. you speak like you care (and i have reason to believe that you do!) so please, don’t go. dunno how i have the chutzpa to say this: but for my sake, stay. i’m not asking for mussar (though you can go ahead and shoot me), i’m just asking ot see a post here and there. please?
squeak, i have no words. i know you’re unassuming, but i’ve come to really respect what you say. and that’s a lot, coming from me. don’t go. i honestly look for your approval on every issue that’s posted on here. i know you’re not going to believe me, but it’s true.
i’m tempted to backspace this whole thing because it’s waaaaay too mushy for a guy like me, but i’m going to overcome my temptation… (you see areivim? i do have hope!)
just don’t laugh and don’t use this as blackmail. i’m hoping to see you both around here.

I have enjoyed debating with you both (most of the time). Not all of us can be as perfect as me 🙂 but you guys do a very decent job of trying.

Rabbosai, the two “protagonists” here had a chashad that maybe they unintentionally offended one another. Nothing geferlach was in reality said. Nothing close in fact (certainly not for the coffee room!) But since each thought that perhaps they may have slightly upset the other, they each independently forswore any further comments out of fear lest they mistakenly say something in good faith that is taken in an unintended manner.

It would be a shame to give up a single friendship, let alone several – even online friendships – over a misunderstanding and exchange of less-than-kind words.
This is especially true where the offender(s) have apologized.
It would be far better to return, and, where applicable, remind others of the reality that oino’as devorim is a real issue, even in the virtual reality of the CR.
I can’t believe this has happened. Ames, I need you!! You’re my partner in the cooking thread. C’mon, there can’t be any controversy in the cooking threads!! Except you say Potato, and I say Patato, Tomayto, Tomato…. Ames, I went through all the threads to see what went wrong. Honey, I feel for you. The whole yiddish thing drives me crazy as well. You know, on a few of my threads, I wrote about how I cope with things, like phyching myself up to get ready for Shabbos, by thinking, that by not being able to afford help, at least I would be getting the reward instead of a housekeeper. Do you know what replys I received??? Oh, someone said, why am i knocking people who have help!! You know I wasn’t knocking on people who need help to prepare for Shabbos. I replied that this is how I handle and prepare myself to get ready for Shabbos. I wish people would take the time to read my replies. Ames, please don’t let some of the CR posters get to you. Your sparkling Neshoma showned through. I love to read your posts. You are a very level headed person and a voice of reason in this Crazy place. We need you very much in the CR.
Squeak, I am not going to leave you out either. Both of you have made the CR so much fun. I can’t always reply to every thread (can’t think of anything smart to say, so I ‘d rather be quiet then sound stupid) and how some of you guys out there manage to do it, especially, you night owls, is beyond me. Please come back.
I hope the moderators can forward this to Ames and Squeak.

ames & squeak: joseph alrady said that he wants you guys back, so now youcan, you could do what charlie brown did, when he left and came back about a week later and let everybody know why he left, and now he’s back in business.$
ames and squeak (listed in alphabetical order) your comments will be sorely missed but one comment (maybe more directed at ames after the big goodbye) not like I want you to leave or anything but maybe (maybe) it will bring out a point about the bickering here -if so that’ll be one positive
i hope very soon, we’ll be able to change the name of this thread to “WELCOME BACK SQUEAK & AMES”

Mazal, I was one and I am sorry. When you posted, I thought you were saying you look down on others for having help, rather than that it was personal for you. I’msorry for misunderstanding and judging you harshly. I hope you can forgive me.

1) Allow me to join the others in saying “glad you (pretty much) reconsidered & we hope ‘squeak’ does, too”.
2) B”H the only thing that happened in your bathroom was the mess. An unsecured toilet can c’v be a terrible hazard to a baby or toddler – even a mop bucket can. Babies don’t have great balance, plus having a disproportionately (on an adult scale) large and heavy head can lead to a toddler being unable to extricate him or her self (once again, c’v) if they fall into a bucket, toilet, etc.
after reading all the very touching words and thoughts of the cr gang, i think it will be hard for ames, and squeak to leave. you are wanted very much!

The goodbye that I wrote yesterday was intended completely as a joke. I have been posting as much as ever, but none of my posts went through. It might be because I decided that henceforth I will only post in Yiddish.
P.S. A mule is stubborn. You can coax a mule, you can beg a mule, you can yell at a mule. But that will only strengthen his resolve. Yet, when he is hungry and you are not looking, he will not hold back from coming to you to eat.
