September 6, 2011 9:48 pm at 9:48 pm #806800bptParticipantWhy would anyone choose corned beef? If you’re ingesting red meat, go for the pastrami

Corner beef has its merits. Besides it can’t always be pastrami.

This is true. For a deli salad, you need smoked turkey (preferably from Hod Golan)

Corned beef is a piece of beef, usually brisket, which has been salt cured in specific ways.
Corn beef does not exist.

September 7, 2011 3:28 am at 3:28 am #806810minyan galMemberpba: couldn’t one consider beef from cattle that has been corn fed, corn beef? I do know that as a deli meat corn beef doesn’t exist. Also, as far as I know, the only difference between corned beef and pastrami is slightly different seasonings in the curing process. They both originate as beef brisket, ergo they are both red meat.
September 7, 2011 8:51 pm at 8:51 pm #806812bein_hasdorimParticipant2 cans of corn, one package of beef, salt and pepper to taste.

September 7, 2011 9:05 pm at 9:05 pm #806813YW Moderator-80Memberwhat kind of a recipe is that?!
its not corn beef its cornED beef
