When you voted for Biden you voted to lift sanctions on Iran, funding for Hamas terrorists and attacks against Israel. Israel was very safe when Trump was President. Any jew who voted Democrat has a share in this.

House Democrats rejected sanctions against Hamas. If you aren’t against them you’re with them.

The biggest voice against Israel in Congress, besides the Squad, are the Jewish members!
With Jews like that – who needs Enemies?!?

Did anyone notice that the Whole world didn’t say a word about the Rockets from Gaza, until Israel defended themselves & then they started Screaming “Ceasefire, Ceasefire”?!?

However, considering that the people during the Second Temple period were engaged in Torah study, observance of mitzvot, and acts of kindness, and that they did not perform the sinful acts that were performed in the First Temple, why was the Second Temple destroyed? It was destroyed due to the fact that there was wanton hatred during that period. This comes to teach you that the sin of wanton hatred is equivalent to the three severe transgressions: Idol worship, forbidden sexual relations and bloodshed. Yoma 9B

I think it’s only a matter of time before the Republican base also turns against Israel. I think we should stop relying on the government for our protection and go back to having emunah and bitachon while we remember that we are still in galus and this gift that Hashem gave us of the State of Israel can be ripped away from us at any time.

They want to make peace, so they don’t want to disturb the two state solution, and they are not against Israel. America, excluding Casper Weinberger, was always with its ally Israel.

Your question there was ” is the lack of civility here to stay?”

based on your comments here, the answer is yes.
But fear not, you can be a change for the better. think of nicer ways to frame your comments. Though I suspect they are on the wrong website, since I doubt anyone who frequents this site can be accused of helping Hamas in any way shape or form.

I think Biden in at fault, but, his “support”, for Israel, in many ways standing in opposition to his piers, is pretty refreshing. When you see hypocrisy and utter blindness to what’s obvious you know that Hashem has masked those against Israel. May He remove the mask from all those who seek for our destruction just as he (partially) removed Biden’s allowing him to hold back from taking or demand action against Israel

@ubquitin, By pushing Biden they embolden both Hamas and Iran so they either usefull idiots of the left or aiding of the enemy, and yes I was being nice, all I said is those people should not post divrai torah while Israel is under attack because a lot people here find the hypocracy disgusting.

The republicans were part of the umos haolam that asked Hashem, “what’s in it?” And we’re not given the Torah.

The Gemara asks: Say that you heard that Rabbi Yehuda rules that one is liable for performing a labor not needed for its own sake in the case of a constructive act; did you hear him deem one liable in the case of a destructive act? Rabbi Avin said: This case, Rabbi Shimon ben Elazar says in the name of Ḥilfa bar Agra, who said in the name of Rabbi Yoḥanan ben Nuri: One who rends his garments in his anger, or who breaks his vessels in his anger, or who scatters his money in his anger, should be like an idol worshipper in your eyes, as that is the craft of the evil inclination. Today it tells him do this, and tomorrow it tells him do that, until eventually, when he no longer controls himself, it tells him worship idols and he goes and worships idols. Rabbi Avin said: What verse alludes to this? “There shall not be a strange god within you, and you shall not bow to a foreign god” (Psalms 81:10). What is the strange god that is within a person’s body? Say that it is the evil inclination. One may not rend his garments in anger, because in doing so he is deriving pleasure from satisfying the evil inclination.

Like I wrote previously -“The biggest voice against Israel in Congress, besides the Squad”

It looks like the DemonCrats are Showing their True Colors.
The Squad introduced a resolution to Block Missile Sales to Israel.
Look at the Lib Posters now – how are you gonna twist this one?!?
I know – it’s Really the Right Wingers that are the Antisemites, Not the Lib DemonCrats!

    H,

    He approved the sale.

Oh Jackk -“He approved the sale.”

Now Bernie is making a resolution to oppose a sale to Israel.
Why would these extreme Leftists do this? If Biden will go ahead anyways.
I’ll tell you why – because the Squad & Bernie are applying extreme pressure on the DemonCrats.
So it’s Not if, but when the Biden’s Administration will cave in!

You’re so Liberal – that you can’t even see the Objective!
But keep voting for the DemonCrats!

    Health ,
That Bernie and the Squad are anti Israel/pro-palestinian has been know since day one.
    Nothing new.
(Nobody that I know of voted or even could have voted for any of them since we do not live in their districts. )

You and LW are posting as if they are the current policy of the democratic party.

    They are not.

Bernie lost to Biden and the squad are under Biden’s control. Biden isn’t one of them and he never will be. He is the leader of the USA and the current policy maker for the democratic party.
The squad is applying pressure and Biden isn’t caving in to it.

The only disaster which you did not see (but knew was coming when Trump hinted that he would not accept the results of the election last time and this time) was that the Republican’s destroyed our democratic election system by not accepting the results of the presidential election and trying to illegally overturn the duly elected president of the US on Jan 6.

They kicked Liz Cheney from her leadership position because she would not agree to the “BIG LIE”.
They will not even setup a committee to examine the “BIG LIE” because they know that it would lead to many of them being indicted as co-conspirators.

The republican party would love to have trump or a similar fascist as president. Trump was good for the jews. But who says that the next one will also be?

Sincerely, your favorite YWN ‘DemonCrat’. 🙂

Oh Jackk -“The squad is applying pressure and Biden isn’t caving in to it.”

The delusion that you live in is Pathetic!
Right now he isn’t, but that wasn’t my point.
I wrote -“So it’s Not if, but when the Biden’s Administration will cave in!”

Biden is an old man & some say he’s partially Senile.
It’s just a matter of time, that the DemonCrat party will be the Party of the Squad!
The younger Congressmen & women eventually take over.
And it looks like the Younger DemonCrats are Antisemitic.
Compare that to the New Republicans – they have Conservative values and are pro – Israel!

House Dems Reject Measure To Boost Israeli Security Aid
House Democrats on Thursday voted against a measure to provide Israel with emergency funding for its Iron Dome missile defense system, which destroys terrorist rockets before they land, saving scores of lives as Israel continues to fight against Palestinian terror groups.

In a vote of 218-209, Democrats rejected a security funding amendment offered by Rep. Tony Gonzales (R., Texas). The measure would have paved the way for Israel to receive a tranche of emergency dollars specifically for missile defense, which has proven critical as Iranian-backed terror groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad target Israeli citizens.

The Democrat-controlled House’s rejection of the security amendment came just days after a Republican bid to sanction Hamas was shut down. On Tuesday, Democrats rejected a bid by House Republicans to hold a vote on Hamas sanctions legislation that would have cut off the group’s funding sources.

    Check mate.

“The squad is applying pressure and Biden isn’t caving in to it.”

Schumer clearly caved to their pressure as he desperately tries to avoid a primary against by AOC. He doesn’t even have the guts to condemn violent pro-Palestinian mobs from attacking Jews in the streets of NYC. How is that not an indication of where the party is heading?

    Dear Bk,

Schumer is on the record about Israel dozens of times. There is no reason for him to make any statement now. If the conditions would worsen and Israel could use some congressional support, we could read into what he thinks then. Who cares about another silly statement?

“There is no reason for him to make any statement now.”
I can not disagree with you strongly enough. He isn’t a man who’s shy of making statements or appearing in front of cameras. If he’s too scared to make a statement because it will anger the squad I think it’s reasonable to question his past statements. For years he sold him self as the “shomer yisroel” and now when Israel was under constant attack and being slandered by rapidly rising members of his own party he had nothing to say?
Worse in my mind is his complete silence on what happened in NYC. Jews who have nothing to do with the Israeli/Palestinian conflict are being assaulted in his district by gangs shouting anti-Semitic slogans and he is completely AWOL.

I stand corrected. The great defender of the Jews posted the following on twitter 3 hours ago:
We must stand together to stop the recent surge in anti-Semitic attacks.
We must stand together against the forces of hate.
Anti-Semitism, bigotry, and intolerance have no place in New York or anywhere else.

I wonder who the “forces of hate” are? Probably Trump supporters.

    Dear Bk,

What was exactly my point. Congressional support for Israel is not in any real jeopardy. But it may be later. If Schumer is still interested in backing Israel, he will do it then. The real issue now is what is going on in the streets. Call his office for a comment.

“ Congressional support for Israel is not in any real jeopardy. But it may be later.”
Not sure how you can say that when the leader of the Senate was too scared to anger the extremist members of the party. If that is not an indicator of where the party is heading I don’t know what is. Thankfully, Biden didn’t cave, this time, but how much longer will that be the case?
Personally I think his tweet from last night was very bland and generic (as to not chas Vshalom anger anyone) and too little too late.

    Dear Bk,

It’s all just words at this point. With a bit of financing at this point. Schumer and others are better off not saying anything, rather than having to walk back a statement later. You are reading between the lines on a blank paper. You could be right in your predictions. But it is still a wasted effort.

    #1976880

The only thing that’s blank is Schumer’s lack of a statement and support for the Jewish community. Plenty of other powerful democrats, including Nancy Pelosi, issued statements supporting Israel’s right to defend its self and condemning anti-Semitic violence and hatred.
He is a self-serving coward and deserves to be called out.

Clearly our little back and forth is a giant waste of time so this will be my last post on this topic.

Text from “kol haolam”-” over 500 Democratic party staffers and Biden campaign alumni signed a letter calling on him to hold Israel “accountable” for its actions in gaza”. We are passed the point of “congressional support for Israel being in jeopardy”. Democrats don’t support israel, period. Tweets mean and do nothing. I don’t care if Nancy Pelosi said “anti semitism is bad”. Send Israel the support it needs.

    #1977104

A text from YWN-“A senior State Department official admitted Monday “there are no guarantees” that millions of dollars being sent by the United States to help Palestinians would not end up in the coffers of the Hamas terror group”.
