there is such a thing as a milk allergy but most people who supposedly have this are actually lactose intolerant, which can not be treated by allergy shots
Mod i’m not lactose intolerant. i know what that means, but i’m completely allergic. i get hives, i get extreme rashes and when i was little i used to go to hospital lots of times. im getting over it but im not there yet. i get so jealous when i see someone eating a dairy product you have no idea!!!

There’s allergy and sensitivity and intolerance, which are different, depending upon the body’s reaction.
Similar in a way to a body’s different reactions to gluten, etc.
lactose intolerance has nothing to do with sensitivity or allergy.
it is the genetic lack of an enzyme which is necessary to break down lactose in the intestine.
allergies have to do with the bodys overreaction of the immune system to a particular foreign molecule
Dairy allergies aren’t that rare I think the percentage of adults with it is about 0.1%. Of course it’s nowhere near the numbers of lactose intolerance.

I have absolutely no idea what you are saying, but in my english language(one that i can actually understand!) lactose intolerant means you take a pill and then you can eat whatever dairy you want.
Dairy allergies are caused by the immune system. Lactose intolerance is caused by the digestive system.
And I’m thinking of practicing in the allergy field -it will be a
cinch because it seems like e/o is a Maven. I’ll just read, learn Torah, watch TV and the patients can treat themselves. I won’t have to do anything -it will be great.
