I didn’t want to hijack the other thread…

I think there should be basic rules that guys must follow regarding driving. I don’t mind if the guys speed (yes, yes, I know it’s dangerous) but if you don’t know how to drive then don’t do it!! I’ve had a guy go 80 in a 50 zone who did NOT know how to drive. He kept on swerving, short-stopping, etc. I thought my life would be over right then and there.

I know someone who went out with a guy that sped through the Battery Tunnel banging into every cone…on HER side!

One guy told me he thinks he’s a good driver…umm..what would YOU answer to that??

You should meet my friend taking his driving exam with an anti-semite inspector who made clear he was gonna fail. That inspector was clutching his seat for a good 20 minutes as my buddy “mistakenly” went on the highway driving like there were no other cars around and kept “missing” the exits cause he didn’t notice it till he was too far past.

if the guy is a really good driver you might not even notice that he is speeding

Right. That’s why I don’t have a problem if the good drivers speed.

I have an uncle that drives like a maniac! My aunt says that until she learnt how to drive she was fine with driving with him but once she learnt how to drive she was not able to get into a car with him because she realized how bad of a driver he is!

for me, the scariest is when a guy is tired, and i used to go out after college which was like 9-10ish so by 1-2 we were both pretty tired but bh made it home every time :)!

once tho, a guy took me out and he had borrowed the car from a friend and didn’t know that the passenger’s seat belt was broken…it was so embarrassing cause he tried to fix it but to no avail….i wish i would’ve had the guts to sit in the back and make him feel like a chauffeur :))

could be worse. i once heard a story of a guy picking up a girl in a car he said he had borrowed. unfortunately the owner was not aware he had lent it to the guy.

    luckily they didnt get arrested.

I dated a guy who sped and tailgated. It was terrifying.I was having a hard time concentrating on the conversation,as I was watching the road and ready to go careening into the car in front of us.finally, I said to him something like,”I’m going to hafta bentch gomel when we arrive at our destination, but as long as I don’t havta say shema yisrael,I guess we’re ok!”.he got the hint! (He was the type to handle such a thing-he even apologized for gg too fast afterwards)

great story and very good that you said something in a way that he was able to deal with it. depends on the guy

Right. That’s why I don’t have a problem if the good drivers speed”

Would you have a problem with him, if he got stopped by a cop and was ticketed? What if did not get stopped by a cop, but hit another car? 80 MPH in a 50 zone?????? And you were ok with that?

As to the comment about being tired after the date, that is why in all my dating history, with one exception, I never sent a guy home after the date, without first asking him in for some coffee, even when I knew there was not a snowball’s chance in Miami that I would ever go out with him again.
