    Good morning everyone,

Some of us here have really interesting usernames. Please share with us why you chose your particular username. I know that a thread like this usually elicits corny responses, but please do tell us the real reason.

I chose Click Vegetable based on Rabbi Wachsman’s speech about technology in Citi Field in which he said that we are turning into “click vegetables”.

    How about you?

I wanted to be boring and unoriginal.

@Click Vegetable – LOL! 😀 I chose Bookworm because I signed up to make an inquiry about books. And I added 120 because I should hope to live that long. 🙂

I’m Sephardic, and thought it would be ironic to choose an obviously Ashkenazic-sounding version of my name. Also, I’m a ben bayit by many homes, and in most cases, people will call me Reb Doniel (since they’re Ashkenazim).

I’m thinking of suing on counts of plagiarism…Especially since you mentioned “c” as one of your ideas.

Yeah, I saw it before, now it’s gone. Maybe there are mods who are not taking any chances. Maybe there are mods who don’t fully comprehend, understand, grasp the complex, intricate sciences of humor.

sheep are not very intelligent animals and where one goes, the others follow. I am not like that. I have my own opinions and my own path, which I will always follow as long as I know it’s right. I don’t like to do things ‘just because everyone else is’.

I was going to use what my 300 monkeys on typewriters voted, but the name they came out with was too long. Plus, there were too many strange verses so I gave that version to a guy named Shakespeare.

    This was their second idea.

    #1019469

I meant that. The m is near the n so it’s just a typo. But thank 4 correcting me

Its well written, but a horrible thing to write about, I will never let my kids read it, it was definetly not appropriate for the age i was when I read it!

    #1019472

I’m Jewish, and a feminist, and my birthday is February 2nd (double 2s).

However, I created my account 4 years ago, and have changed a lot since then. Although I still identify as a feminist, I do so in different ways now, and would probably not include it as part of my username if I were creating an account today. I also would not feel the need to indicate on a self-identified “yeshiva” website that I am Jewish (why did I do that 4 years ago? no idea)

Even then you realized Judaism and feminism are a contradiction so you had to make the unnatural confluence explicit.

Tzaddiq: I was at first thinking of agreeing with you, lema’an hashalom of course, but I’m worried to do so lest you become a baal ga’aveh.

As such, let me suggest a compromise. Also lema’an hashalom of course. I allow you to believe that you are the most humble person, whilst I’ll continue knowing that I’m the biggest onov.

lol! i am truly humbled by your offer. my humility is at its peek at this stage of the game. why, if i had but a little bit more of humility, i’d be perfect. you, my friend, are too great of a person to be humble…

No, no. You are exaggerating my dear friend and colleague. I’m not so great as you think. And that’s why I can afford to be who I am. After all Imanonov. But you, by being humbled by my offer, have indeed become a close second. May the world be blessed by many more such humble people as you and of course me.
