Yeshiva Gedolah Zichron Moshe, also known as Yeshiva of South Fallsburg, is a private Orthodox rabbinical college located in South Fallsburg, New York. Established in 1944 by Rabbi Yerucham Gorelick, it’s considered one of the leading beit midrash programs in the United States, with a steady enrollment of around 200 students.
*Key Facts:*
– *Enrollment*: Approximately 200 students, all male
– *Focus*: Talmudic studies and Orthodox rabbinical education
– *Degrees*: Bachelor’s degree and first professional certification
– *Accreditation*: Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools
– *Rosh Yeshiva*: Rabbi Elya Ber Wachtfogel*Community and Campus:*
The yeshiva has a strong presence in the community, with many families affiliated with the kollel or working in the schools or administrative offices. The campus includes facilities for both the yeshiva and the affiliated Bnos Devorah Raizel Elementary School for girls.
*Challenges and Support:*
In 2023, the Bnos Devorah Raizel school faced a significant setback when a fire destroyed its new building. However, the community rallied together, and a donor pledged to match donations up to $250,000 to support the rebuilding efforts ¹ ².
Hope that helps

My brother went there up until the middle of second grade and I was there for 6 months of kindergarten. We left the yeshiva in December of 1969 because the neighborhood had gotten really bad and we were moving to Kew Gardens Hills. The yeshiva itself closed and moved in 1973.
