How is it permissible to take the father to ??????? (I’m not talking about the perp, rather his father.)August 29, 2011 8:39 pm at 8:39 pm #802982yitayningwutParticipant
Who said anything about the perp’s father?August 29, 2011 8:45 pm at 8:45 pm #802983
Just to note, the excerpt on the YWN link above didn’t quote the full original source, which indicates the suit was also against the perp’s father.August 29, 2011 8:50 pm at 8:50 pm #802984
Aside the ?????? issue, on what basis would a man be responsible for the criminal actions of his 35 year old adult son, in halacha or secular law?August 29, 2011 8:50 pm at 8:50 pm #802985Mr TaxmanMember

Not sure what to make of it.August 29, 2011 9:21 pm at 9:21 pm #802988Working on itParticipant
I would guess that the father was named in the suit since the crime took place in his home and perhaps he can be held responsibleAugust 29, 2011 9:22 pm at 9:22 pm #802989
We should never understand whats going on in Mr. Kletzkey’s head.August 29, 2011 9:24 pm at 9:24 pm #802990ha ha ha haMember
firstly DAN L’CAF ZECHUS!! we don’t know the whole picture or even part of it!!
Secondly it may not be Mr. Kletzky doing the sueing it may be someone saying he wants to sue in his name.
please please please be careful with what we say we don’t know can’t judge or speculate of someone elses misfortune.
may we never know of such tragedies!!August 29, 2011 9:26 pm at 9:26 pm #802991YW Moderator-80Member
it has nothing to do with mr kletzkey
when one sues everything is in the hands of the lawyers
and when lawyers sue they sue everyone possible.
i was once named in a suit actually against someone else
when the patient came to see me for a checkup i said you are suing me why are you coming to see me
she said what are you talking about? im not suing you
she called the lawyer. he was very upset but was forced by her to drop the suit against meAugust 29, 2011 9:28 pm at 9:28 pm #802992
That addresses the legal aspect, but I still question the ?????? aspect.August 29, 2011 9:30 pm at 9:30 pm #802993

I truly hope there is someone somewhere who has rachmonus on the father of Levi Aron and is helping him through this.August 30, 2011 12:08 am at 12:08 am #802999WIYMember

From what I heard, the family of the accused killer is paying for his legal fees. When I read about the lawsuit my thought were that perhaps this is a way to tie up their money so they can’t pay for his legal fees. Maybe they think it will be a quicker trial without these lawyers etc. Again, just my thought.August 30, 2011 2:07 am at 2:07 am #803001
The accused’s lawyers are third-rate nincompoops who have never tried a murder case before. Even the Judge criticized having such newbies try this case. They are about as cheap as they come. I also read somewhere they are trying it pro bono, probably to build up their own experience at the expense of the defendant. And in any event, everyone is entitled to lawyers, and the Judge said he would have given the accused free legal counsel with better experience, paid by the government, if he didn’t have these jokers already on the case.August 30, 2011 2:33 am at 2:33 am #803002YoelYitzchakMember
The accused lawyers got into trouble for posting comments regarding the case on their Facebook pages.August 30, 2011 3:53 am at 3:53 am #803003emlfMember
A gutten chodesh.
Just because a news story says that such and such is true does NOT mean it’s true.
It’s so easy to believe news stories on the basis of hearsay. How about believing yesodos in Yiddishkeit with such ease? I’m reminding myself of this by writing this.
Instead of our wondering and investigating and conjecturing and judging, how about davening that Moshiach come already? That will be the true end to all the tzaros.August 30, 2011 4:22 am at 4:22 am #803004a maminParticipant
I think everyone is busy being too hasty and jumping to conclusions. Why dont you all just sit back and see what happens?
