All my friends and family know my username.
I’d prefer anonymity,but otherwise–yes.
That’s the point of a screen name. Hopefully nothing comes back to haunt you when the shadchan calls about your kid who’s in the parshah.

Yes, I’m sure there are people who can figure out who I am from reading my comments. I also assume that this site does not use the strongest security protections.

I don’t hide my screen name from people I know in the non virtual world. I only hide my real name from screen friends.
I’m not at all embarrassed. That’s why I always use only my real name.

probably, i don’t tell people who i am, but if a/o who knows me came on, they’d prob figure out who i am based on my love of :)!
Interestingly, although I tell my friends my screenname, I won’t reveal any personal information on the forum.

Thank you for the compliment. You’re correct… I’m not your father in law (none of my kids are married yet). As to whether or not I actually know him, I just couldn’t say.

based on my first posting in the CR, if someone knows me IRL, they’d know who I am.
also– I revealed more in another post that would seal the deal.

yes i would. most of my family knows my screen-name and a few friends who are members also know so i’m not worried. and i usually think before i write so i dont have a problem. actually the only one in my fam(who reads the cr)that doesnt know my sn is my grandfather (and i don’t plan on telling him)

I wouldn’t say anything in the CR that I don’t want people to know about me. My siblings know my screen name and I know theirs. I think it would be really cool if one day you can see who everybody really is, it gets me so curious some times.
