Willingly apply hot wax to my face? I’d sooner crawl over broken glass. I jump out of my skin when the havdalah candle drips on me.

Ima of 3 (unless the 3 are girls), let me offer the best advice I know of:

Is it permitted for a man to wear a dress??

    Have I answered the question??

A good question would be if men are allowed to shave/trim their eyebows/unibrows?

Or if men can use hair-dying products if they’re made for men, like Just-for-Men hair products?

My original post didnt go through for some reason, mods?

You are not allowed to destroy hair of the beard. However, mustache and eyebrows dont have that problem but waxing those areas might be a problem of acting like a woman.

True but it’s usually the guys that try to act all macho. We girls are tough too 🙂

I think that it is permitted based on the idea that shaving with a razor is forbidden, but not other ways of removing facial hair. (It’s been a while for me, but see last perek of Makkot -Mishnah on 19a; Gemara on 20a and see Yoreh Deah 180-182 one of those simanim).

The concept of begged isha only applies to removing hair where women (could) normally remove hair – underarms and below the belt (again see Yoreh Deah in about the same set of simanim).

    From Makkot 20a:

    ?”? (????? ??) ???? ???? ?? ????? ???? ???’ ???? ??????? ??? ???? ?”? (????? ??) ?? ????? ?? ?? ????? ???? ?? ???? ????? ??????? ??? ???? ????? ???? ?? ????? ?? ???? ????? ??? ?? ????? ??? ???? ?? ???

You got me there, Dunno. Then again, women submit to having their eyebrows plucked (yeouch!)…and pay someone to do it, no less.

I’d imagine that once you’ve squeezed a watermelon out of a straw, pouring molten wax on sensitive skin is like being tickled with a feather.
