Just wondering what the oylum thinks.

    Unethical? Definitely not.

Site participants know it’s done; nobody is being fooled or tricked.

It is done in an “all in good fun” spirit, and occasionally to warn people that a particular poster is a troll.

On a personal level, it doesn’t bother me.

The only issue I can see is if an individual doesn’t like and/or is embarrassed by a subtitle, in which case the should probably be accommodated if they request a change.

At the very worst, I would say it could potentially be mean-spirited…but I don’t see how you get to unethical.

    Why not? It’s their site.

But…whoever gave popa that “mirror mirror” subtitle – that was TOTALLY unethical. 😛

Any subtitle is an honor, even if it’s a bad one like “train wreck” or “dead meat”.

    I didn’t like mine, so I’m glad it’s gone.

Think you missed a few subtitle threads…I know there’s more than what you bumped…
