Tonight i attended the St John’s Red Storm basketball game against the Georgetown Hoyas at the Garden (it was a thrilling game and a big upset win by the storm) Is there anything wrong with me financially supporting an athletic team from a christian college?
(tmb let me save you the time there were cheerleaders but i did not look, anyways whats the difference u know i have a tv therefore according to you i should be used to scantily clad women)

However see the gemara A.Z. 18b, ?????? there should be no reason why this isn’t included in what the gemara calls ???? ????.

One can make the same argument for YWN. Its been so long since I saw them play live, they were still called the Redmen and Bill Wennington was the man in the middle!

January 4, 2011 5:30 pm at 5:30 pm #724274apushatayidParticipantI still remember the taunts aimed at Patrick Ewing of Georgetown. My all time favorite was the sign that read “Patrick Ewing can’t read this sign” (there was a lot of controversy how he was academically eligible for a top tier school like Georgetown University). Of course, once he put on a Knicks uniform it didnt matter what he could or could not read, as long as the ball made its way through the rim and he clogged up the middle on defense 🙂

Perhaps, but that gemara talks specifically of going to watch a game in a stadium, which is much more easily identifiable with the OP’s case.
