I’m thinking of going back to learn in kollel, how much does an average kollel pay these days?? Is it enough to live off of or would my wife have to work?

I can’t answer your question, but are you doing this to escape making a decision about careers (as you listed in your thread “loooooser”), or because you genuinely want to learn? I would consult with a rav if it’s the right thing to do if you’re using it as an escape.

MOst do not pay enough to live off of. If there is no parental support, your wife will probably have to work.
( if she does, please don’t leave your kids with a goyishe babysitter!!!!! Please!!!! there are too many kids being brought up by spanish babysitters)
Standard full day kollel stipends are: In Israel center (Yerushalayim – bnei brak ect) 1300 nis to 2200 nis per month. (That is around $400 – $600) But they do not always pay in a timely manner. This includes the goverment stipend. However – if you have 3 children and little other incone than you can get an additional 1100 nis per month from the goverment.
Outskirts of israel – the pay range is huge! From 1300 to as much as 3500 nis. Some very high paying kollels are Meiron – The halacha kollel in haifa – and other specialty kollels.
The typical avreich here barely squeeks by – this even with the wife working and that most avreichim got a free or heavily subsidized apartment from their parents n law. Most avreichim also learn either un a night or pre shacharis kollel – and many also lean in friday kollels.
I think its about half times 6/8 – 234 of a salary for being a madricha
