A Verizon prepaid phone. In Boro Park it can be purchased at Duddy’s or maybe even Hi Tech!

Since when does kashrus depend on “all major poskim”? If your LR says it can be used, that should be enough.

I don’t understand… what if I am seen carrying an unnaproved kosher phone? I have to have my future shidduch prospects in mind…

Plain white or even colored are fine. Some designs are okay, some are not. But definitely no text.

Would it be “untznius” to get a red cup?

Red cup is ok so long as the string is a roite bendel.

Yes, as long as you don’t drink straight from the bottle (…whoops, wrong thread)

All phones are inherently kosher. It is up to the user to keep it that way.

Is chazir inherently kosher as long as you don’t eat it?

I must say, though, I think that’s what the OP had in mind.

Thats certainly your choice to make. I will stick with my Blackberry Curve and all its functionality.

I have one That’s called “Meshumar”, They have great phones under page plus/verizon service. I think they import it from Israel. You can even get a touch screen phone with popular jewish tunes for ring tones!

    apushatayid,

If someone won’t be nichshal, and is in a matzav of “leka darka achrina”, they’re good to go.

I have a kosher phone which is touch screen and has Jewish tunes for ringtones. My ringtone is Shwekey singing Harachaman.

The following statement is for the benefit of those who are prone to assumptions.

I’m not advocating anyone do anything except what they are advised to do by their own Rav.
