need to upgrade my phone and Ipod so I’m thinking of just getting a smartphone. My father has the Droid 4 but I dont need a physical qwerty. I would prefer an OS of android 3.0 or above, preferably jellybean…
Any ideas?
and no I don’t want an Iphone.
Thanks

April 18, 2013 4:51 pm at 4:51 pm #956668yentingyentaParticipantyup, on verizon. others have suggested the galaxy. what are its pros?
April 18, 2013 6:37 pm at 6:37 pm #956669just my hapenceParticipantThe Galaxy SIII is a brilliant phone but it’s rather big and slightly awkward to use unless you’re using both hands at once, so a good bet is the SIII mini, same phone just smaller.
April 18, 2013 8:02 pm at 8:02 pm #956670VogueMemberThe galaxy sIIII already came out,
April 18, 2013 8:15 pm at 8:15 pm #956671charliehallParticipantI got the Samsung Stratosphere with the full physical QWERTY keyboard. I love it.
And it also works really well at recording and playing back shiurim.

The Galaxy SIII mini looks like a nice phone and seems a good option for people who don’t want the massive tablet-like phones that are so popular nowadays.
But…
The Galaxy SIII mini apparently isn’t officially sold in the U.S.
While it will work on Sprint, AT&T and other GSM networks, it won’t work on Verizon’s CDMA network 🙁
info from Amazon’s q&a section from the Galaxy SIII mini page

Its Roman numeral as opposed to number to be precise. About the phone, if battery life is important and you want an all around great phone look into the Motorola Razr Maxx. It has crazy long battery life and basically has all the feautures of the newer phones.

battery life is kinda important but not the most imp factor.
most important is its hardiness and price. I don’t need the newest phone, just one that will last

April 23, 2013 12:34 pm at 12:34 pm #956681yentingyentaParticipantafiluechus, I paid just under $330 for the phone for verizon. The verizon site lists the phone as $650 without a contract.
