Can I use maaser money to give tzedakah to a poor frie family?
Great idea. Give them extra on Erev Shabbos.
If at first you can’t fricasee, fry, fry a hen.
I dont like feeding trolls, either way yes you may although its obviously not the best use of your Tzeddaka money unless they are related to you.
Is it considered maaser to give money to my mom? My dad hasnt given her any money in like forever…
please check your email in about an hour
Rabbeinu Bachya says that giving your parents is the best kind of Tzedakka.
But is it Kibud Av V’em for a dependent child to give their parents tzedaka? It’s not like T.A.O.M. is old enough to support her parents, and it may just embarrass her mother… @HaLeiVi
Actually a person’s parents are first on the list to receive tzedaka from them. One is not chayiv in kibud av va’em from his own money; however if they have no money he must bump them to the top of his tzedaka list. (Rashba and Rosh ? to Kiddushin 32a and mashma from Rambam Hilchos Mamrim 6:3)
Am I the only one who read the title as friar? I don’t give my Maaser to friars.
I thought friers were chickens
I read word “frier” in the title as Israelis use it, as in a person who’s a sucker.
