Inspired by shouldn’t.be.here’s thoughtfulness, I figured it would be a good idea to start a Mechila thread to Bett Ibber fellow members for all the nasty comments targeted at each other, and for the little Tcheppers, too.
I’ll start with lock’n load. I don’t know if you remember it, but at the time you were upset.
Next, I might have thrown in a Tchepper about oomis recently.
I hereby ask you both Mechila. Anyone else who feels like they belong on this list, please come forward.
Not to worry, HL. All is forgiven, if l’chatchilah there was anything to forgive.
This was done last week (the thread was called Mochel Loch). But it is worth repeating.
The heat in the CR gets turned on a bit to high sometimes, so I’m asking mechilah for anyone who I offended, anyone who acted on something I posted and it did not work out to their satisfaction, and more importantly, anyone who would have liked to post a comment but hesitated to do so, becuase of my (sometimes) smart-alecky way of saying things. (Mod 80 gets a special mechila request, even though its not deemed necessary by his reckoning.. and thanks for the new member id tag. I hope I can live up to it!)
I have a problem, I admit it. I jump to criticize those who criticize. I am working on it and try to stay out of the CR because of it. So I ask mechilah from anyone who feels I criticized them. However, I am afraid that I will still continue to point that out and present a different perspective and point of view.
Most of us do not deliberately want to be thought offensive, and I am certain that we are all sorry if we have been. The problem lies in not respecting another person’s viewpoint if it differs from you own. In that mode, I apologize if I have been guilty of that, and will try to work on this aspect of myself. I hope that others who may also have slipped in this regard will do the same.

That could easily be me, and if I’m the one you meant, I’m sorry. If its not me you had in mind, I’m still guilty of this, so I ask mechila. Like you said, we sometimes express our opinion to give voice to those we feel are being taken (or taking) advantage of. Still, its no reason to take it to the gutter.

atchill, if its me, I apologize, though I don’t imagine it is. I don’t hate full groups of people.
Sometimes on the internet, its hard to read inflection and tone. Makes for a lot of misunderstandings that wouldn’t happen in person. It also allows for more free speech as you aren’t looking in the persons eyes.
I would also like to ask mechila to all.

To helpful/Kasha/missme/maxwell (and those in that group that I forgot). I sometimes forget that you are only fighting for Kavod HaTorah, and not for personal reasons CV. I ask from you mechila for not treating you with respect.
To anyone who was offended by my thoughts on tuition: I only try to make you understand that you do have the power to change things, instead of relying on “Matnas Basar V’Dam” to help you. I apologize & ask mechila if I came across as too harsh.

Artchill if its me I hope you are mochel me. I had started a thread which might have fallen into that category- though i dont think i “displayed contempt” I was just having a discussion. But i know you didn’t appreciate it. And to anyone else I might have offended- it was unintentional. Nevertheless, I would like to start off the yr. with a clean slate and i hope all is forgiven. I am not insulted by any of your comments. Most of the comments that I disagree with you about, are well written but show a lack of life experience. They are NOT written with ill intent.
The comment I was refering to WAS written on that specific thread you clearly remember, BUT you weren’t the offending party. The party involved as well as Moderator 80 CERTAINLY remember what was edited out. My clarification on a new thread as to why I was so insulted, was deleted.
The offending party K-N-O-W-S who they are.

artchill- you seem to really still hold a grudge toward a certain poster- maybe its not such a good idea right before the yamim noraim- bu if the poster did not contact you in any way maybe just let it go. (just my advice)

I plan on saying tefillas zaka and will be mochel everyone at that time. however, I will say so here as well. To any person who has taken anything I have written in any way shape or form in a negative way, please be mochel me. I wish i could say that I wont write anything that wont offend you in the future, but in such a forum where all you see are words, no facial or hand expression, or voice inflections or anything else that indicates the true nature of a question or comment, it is so hard to guarantee.

If it is me, then a few things:
1: As I have already said, the idea is not to disallow children to go to yeshiva, it is to remove the sense of Yiyush from the parents. Not having Rachmanus on children whose parents don’t pay tuition doesn’t even enter the picture.
2: I have already said many times yeshivos should accept without regards to tuition.
3: If it is something specific, please tell me so that I can either explain myself, explain why I don’t really argue with you, or be Chozer.
4: Tuition is in no way my “signature issue”. Mod 80 knows what it is (I argue/disagree with him all the time on that one, and have been warned regarding it, and still harp on it).

Baruch Hashem, tuition is no issue with me. If you’re trying to give hope to people, explain your intent. My comment last week which I apologized for, was trying to tell you that you sounded like you want to stick it to those who need tuition assistance most. It was just how it came across and that was my issue.
You didn’t insult me bichlal on any Yeshiva World thread.
The most offensive post was on Blinky’s thread, Moderator 80 edited the entire comment to make it sound like the poster was being friendly. Ah!! The power of the Send Post button! Moderator 80 knows good and well what this is all about.
DaasYochid and golfer, I ask your mechila for stringing you along on my silly question about making assumptions on those not posting in the thread, and the follow up to that irrelevant non sequitur.
