Can you guys name all the brachos recited only once per year (in chutz la’aretz)?
The bracha for lighting candles on Yom kippur.
bracha on fruit tree in Chodesh Nissan
lishmoa kol shofar
Al BIYUR CHAMETZ!!!
snapplegrl, we say the brachah on shofar twice, unless one day of Rosh Hashanah falls out on Shabbos.
Snapplegirl-
Nice! Most people forget about the bracha on the fruit trees….
But, as Feif said, Shofar is usually recited twice…..
Smartcookie-
Good answer. I can think of one more. Anyone?
In the appropriate years: birchas hachama
Yanky, I assume you’re thinking of Nachem, which is said only by Mincha of Tisha B’Av. I was once told it’s not a different bracha, but rather an extended version of the standard bracha of V’leYerushalayim.
Technically, you are right…..
eruv tavshilin can come once a year too.
