My principal told us to apply to a bunch of seminaries to ensure that we get accepted somewhere. So I applied to BJJ, Mesoras Rochel, B’nos Sarah, Machon Ra’aya, B’nos Chava, and Michlala. The problem is that I got accepted to every single one and now I can’t decide which one to go to. And I’m afraid that no matter where I go I might get Popa as a roommate. But if I don’t go then I won’t be able to get a shidduch. Unless I use Popa’s shidduch service. But Popa might not provide services to someone who was afraid of being Popa’s roommate.

mitzvahgirl – mazel tov on getting in! Say whatever you feel comfortable saying, and if the mods don’t approve they just won’t allow it to go through. As for the Goq’s post, don’t worry. It isn’t him 🙂 either way, it’s certainly NOT a sem girl….(If you hadn’t realized 😉 ) !!! Sem spreadsheet should be coming out about now, or very soon. Can’t wait!!! 🙂

“the goq” – Really? You applied to Bnos Sarah and Michlala? That’s an unusual combination…. 😉 You must be an amazing person if you got into all those sems! ;P

I see now that you actually pointed out that I’m not The Goq in your first paragraph.

As for the combination of seminaries, I chose the most academic ones regardless of where they fall on the ideological spectrum.

My friend applied to Michlalah and Bnos Sarah. Got into both. Had a very hard time deciding. Picked one and is very happy.

    It does happen, folks…

Writersoul (or whoever you are): Really? That’s so unusual! Yeah I guess maybe it can happen then!

I apologize for doubting you, “Goq”. Maybe you did really apply to those sems. ;P

No need to apologize. Although something tells me that the “;p” is meant to cast doubt on the apology.

I know plenty of people and friends going to seminary next year. I have another year to wait until I figure out where I am going.

What is the point of applying to all those seminaries and emptying your parents pockets with the application fees? It’s enough of fortune to go, have you no rachamanus on your parents’ cash flow?

    To get more interview stories.

Also, who said that it was “emptying my parents’ pockets” and who said that it was “emptying my parents’ pockets”?

“Although something tells me that the “;p” is meant to cast doubt on the apology.”

That must be the first time you have ever used an emoticon, PAA. Although I’m not sure it counts, being that you are posting under The Goq’s username. And the fact that you’re quoting (although you usually leave out the emoticons even when quoting).

    In any case, yup 😉

“Also, who said that it was “emptying my parents’ pockets” and who said that it was “emptying my parents’ pockets”?”

    Huh?

It doesn’t count if I’m quoting someone. My only objection to emoticons is using them as my own words. Also see:

    and

I don’t think I usually leave out the emoticons when quoting; I think I leave them out if they serve no important purpose, or if I am deliberately attempting to make the quote mean something other than its original intended meaning.

I’m glad you’re not really apologizing.

    “Huh?”

There was a reason emphasized certain words. If you quote the sentence without the emphases it will not make sense.

Patur: I don’t believe you are a girl heading for seminary. More likely an older guy with a lot of free time on his hands.

Shopping – I thought Israeli girls don’t go to sem? At least not in Israel?
