Remember the good old days when there were posters in the CR potentially worth dating? These days it’s all just a bunch of trolls and you.

Why is a troll any less deserving of a shidduch than any other poster on the CR?

    #978112

The problem was we fixed up too many who were of the same gender. I still think Yossi Z. and yummy cupcake would be a great shidduch but we’ll never know, will we?

pba and Torah- besides, all the cool people on here are taken…

I actually shudder to think at what would happen if I went out with someone on yeshivaworld who figured out who I was. I mean, it would save a lot of exposition of opinion, but… yikes…

And I have time! I really do! It doesn’t matter that my friend just got engaged and that my co-counselor just got married and that… and that… I mean, I’m still a kid! Really, I am!

im afraid I don’t fit into any one of your categories shopping girl.

    #978121

I meant female teens, pretteens, or afterteens (20-25)

Afterteens are kids who legally grew up, but in reality never did. Shopping – not sure why you limited it until 25. I don’t plan on ever growing out of this stage (once I reach it, that is).

Torah: you mean top law school.

Afterteens are definitely a thing- people stay teenagers for way too long, even after they make life decisions that would make it seem like they’re adults (marriage, career, etc). It’s funny, because today for the first time I actually encountered a teacher who believes that kids grow up too FAST. I haven’t heard that in forever. (Her reasoning in her scenario made a lot of sense, but it’s just such a different viewpoint than that usually given.)

“afterteens,” as you call them are very different from high school girls. lumping them together is insulting. people’s perspective in life changes when their biggest worry moves from a math final/ chumash report/ social politics to making a living, finding a job and a spouse and living the right way without teachers guiding every step.

Is pretteens a portmanteau of pretty teens? If so, it shouldn’t be on yeshiva world.

    #978127

I wasnt sating that they were the same, I meant that the newer members seem to be either pretteens, teens, afterteens, or conservative or non religous….

Streetgeek, you seem boyish, but who knows, you could be agirl, if so I recommend the song Little girl from Nechama’s heartbeat album. Same for you writersoul….If you are male, you can read the lyrics online and pretend its about a little boy

@Shopping – nope, I’m as female as they get, not sure why I came across as boyish… and Little Girl is definitely one of my favorite songs on Heartbeat (which I purchased right when it came out cuz I personally know Nechama 🙂 ) And pleeeease could you people get my name straight? Please???? (BIG CONGRATS to writersoul who actually got it straight!!)

    #978129

sg – that’s funny, til you told her to get your name right, I hadn’t noticed that she hadn’t. I have been reading it incorrectly too.

lol. I also was reading it as streetgeek the whole time and thinking it masculine, probably because of the geek part.

Syag Lchochma – thanks! It’s good to know I’m making some progress. Though streetgeek would actually describe me pretty well as I am kind of street-smart, but streekgeek has that certain ring to it that I like, so we’ll stick to that 😉
