anybody have ideas what teenagers can do chol hamoed (boys)
or girls please- i need something to do!!
my family has all genders in the teenage zone, so i know how difficult it is…we usually go far in the car with blasting music to a picnic (sounds nerdy, but its really fun!!) like cape may, we played ball, real quality time! or there are family 6 flags days…good luck!
I’m the only teen here so I go along with the babies 🙁
we wanted to go to six flags but someone i know told me their relitive went last year and ended up going on only two rides because the lines were so long 🙁 not worth it
what about ring homestead?
Or find a go carting place. I hear that’s a blast!!
@dancinggirl: Good ideas, except Cape May is around 3 1/2-4 hours from NYC one way, if that is where HIE is from.
There are a bunch of great places to go (window) shopping if you like:
The Apple Store on Fifth Avenue is actually quite fascinating. (5th and 59th)
Also, FAO Schwartz is right next door. (5th and 59th)
Also in the area are Barnes and Noble (and Borders, which is closing soon. – 59th and Park)
Build-a-Bear is also in the city. (Near B&N)
I’m sure there’s a Toys-R-Us in the area as well. (No clue where.)
my family went 2 Six Flags last yr and me and my sister went on lk 4 roller coasters and my little siblings hated it!!!! twaz a BAD experience!!!
only prob is out of the 3 of us only 1 likes rollercoasters- an dthe age range- is 18(guess who) 15girl and 11boy- so we never agree or enjoy the samethings!!!- and only 1 person likes nature things- and the other 2- me and my bro like museams and things-
FAO Schwartz it a toy store that sells really expensive toys. The items are so expensive, that it’s just
like a museum.
How about a trip to the Beis Medrash?
the funnest thing to do is to rent bikes for the whole family and go to a park or someplace with a trail and bike along it…..or rent segways which is very cool…..
As an added benefit a trip to the Beis Medrash is generally free (unless you get solicited for a donation)

i am 14 (boy) and i always go to dave and busters or paintballing with some friends. there is decent paint balling in ring homesead and dave and busters is in manhattan and palisades mall
I’m sure you can find a Bais Medrash that caTters to girls also

But seriously Patur Aval Assur, you’ve got to be kidding we don’t even have the mitzva of learning like men do. So why don’t you (if you’re a guy) learn for all those poor unfortunate girls who can’t learn in a bais medresh on Chol Hamoed.

fao shwartz was soo much fun!- for little kids. huge toy store that has like overly large toys and it’s fun to look at everything and there’s like a piano kids can step on, and huge dolls, and if wanna buy a board game, there’s an employee by each part that you can try out the game with 😉
what about laser tag? or ice skating?

Lee Turkey Farm is better on Sukkos Chol Hamoed because thats when the fruits and veggies are ripe.
I went biking and hiking at bear mt., just an hour and a half from brooklyn. It was a great, if a little strenuous trip, but it was well worth. perfect for a teen and something that most male members of the familly can.enjoy. (sorry, girls!)
