The insult that results from someone saying no to a shidduch is real… I have a friend who said no after dating someone and then 4 years later both were still single … so this person was willing to try it again…You can imagine the response of ” well you said no 4 years ago… so why try it now…. WEll i have a question is this a bitachon/other issue for both individuals involved or is it a test about how they respond to this particular test of dating?… (really involves a friend…)

I once went out with someone in Israel, left briefly to the u.s.a. to wrap up work, came back and continued to date him, ended it, and then “bumped” into him on an eged bus not long after that. I was so startled, I was shaking! My issues with him didn’t disappear, so I didn’t pursue it, but I always wondered if that was Hkb’h’s way of bringing me my zivug three times….. Maybe this is their second opportunity?
