Considering that the Tachrichim that a person is buried with disintegrates rather quickly, what will the people who rise at Techias Hameisim be wearing?

The ???? in ?????? ??”? makes a ?? ????? from wheat: Wheat, which you plant the seed naked, comes out ‘clothed’ – how much more so a person, who is buried with clothes will come out clothed!!!!

I remember asking the question then that the clothing deteriorates! But is clear they will come up clothed!

Also, considering that their bodies disintegrate also, what will they be?

There was a Yom Tov Ehrlich song about Mashiach arriving; it started with a white donkey stepping down a mountain. It was a great, detailed description of Mashiach’s arrival, beginning with the news media not knowing what to make of the sound of the Shofar, and leading up to our miraculous trip to E”Y, various wild animals laying peacefully with docile creatures, and Techiyas Hameisim. My favorite part was always the overjoyed great grandparents meeting their offspring. He had them wearing their Shabbos clothes!

This is one of those types of questions that I don’t worry about.

As long as your acknowledging that HKBH will raise the dead — including re-creating bodies that have long since turned to dust — I’m sure He’ll think of the details regarding clothing.

You know something weird? Some people will be older than their resurrected parents or grandparents at Techias Hameisim. How warped is that?!

WIY, there are a lot of thing to iron out. Gilgulim: which one gets the Neshama (Maggid Meisharim speaks about that one); second marriage: who goes back to whom, husbands first and wife’s second — then what; will you stick to your Rebbe who will be sticking to his?

Obviously, you have no questions that HKBH can and will raise the dead. Why do you think disintegrated tachrichim will be a problem?

Marriage – why would anyone go back? The husbands death should complete the connection between them; ???? ???? makes her a ????? once more? The ????? is terminated! (I think there may be a ???? ??????? ??? ? maybe ???? ?”? which discusses the exact ??? of ???? ????, and possibly brings ?? ????? as a ?”?).

I have the same questions about ????? ?????, I guess we will all have to wait ad see iy”H it should be very soooon. I also am curious to know as I was told, there will be no bodies only neshamos so my question was how will anyone recognize eachother? And another question sometimes someone dies then is pit it another person wat person will they come bak to life in??

WIY, regarding being, or appearing, older than your parents, that is only for the first few minutes. After that, people will take on the appearance of their prime years.

Yekke, that is all how it applies to Halacha. However, there is no doubt a connection between a man and his wife even after death. Not that this is my reason, but why would you bury a wife next to her late husband who is by now no different than a friendly neighbor?

Super, Techiyas Hameisim is with a body. Olam Haba is another existance, where, according to the Ramchal, there will be some form of body but the over-riding factor is the Neshama.

Not that a Neshama has a hard time recognizing a Neshama, though.

Not everyone is a gilgul. It is said that anyone who is born on Shabbos or Yom Tov is a brand-new neshama. My brother & I were both born on Shabbos & my sister was born on Shavuos so i guess neither of us are gilgulim.

I learnt that when techiyat hametim happens, we are all going to see/recognize each neshama the way we knew it last. Since more than one person can have the same neshama (gilgulim) the physical body doesnt come together with the body at techiyat hammetim. For example, you can recognize one neshama as your grandfather and someone else can recognize the same neshama as their brother without you two even being related.

It’s kind of a hard concept to try to understand what will happen but this is how I understand it. There could be more theories.

    #941861

cb1: The seforim say it is better for a woman to give birth during the week so as not to be Mechallel Shabbos.

Anyways, after techiyas hameisim how long will the world last before it is destroyed? Year 7000?

Halevi – there are more ?????? for this concept of a husband and wife having a connection after death. The ?? ?????? ? says that ??? ?? ???? ????, and ??”? explains ??? ????? ??????, that dead people cannot divorce. One can see that the problem isn’t that the marriage is terminated and there is nothing left to be ????; rather the problem is that a dead person cannot be ????.

(Although one can push away the ???? and say that ??”? holds that ?????? works with ????? ??, and even if the man is dead the ???? may be able to divorce {like we see if the man goes crazy the ????can divorce} — and therefore ??”? says ??? ???? ?????? and the divorce cannot take place; ???? ???? by ?????. [But ??”? in ??????? ?? ? is ???? that there is no such thing as ????? ?? and all ?????? works with ???? ??????].)

And I heard that there is a ?? whether the first ???? or the last ???? will come back. I find it hard to believe that only the last ???? will come back, because then ??? ?????, ????? ????? and many of those who MBD promises will be there to greet us simply won’t!

Hey Yekke, you wanna make a Chavrusashaft in Shaar Hagilgulim? Perhaps when we understand the different types of Gilgulim we’ll know which ones will show up and in what way. When do you want to start?

I get the message. I guess we’ll just have to leave that which is beyond our comprehension to the One who will show us all as soon as possible.

Since the newly recreated bodies will be completely clean of tumaah, I think they will have the status of the bodies of Adam and Chava before they ate from the ?? ????. This means that there will be no need for clothes.

Regarding overpopulation, since everyone will live in EY, this wont be a problem because EY has/had the ability to expand based on its population.

    #941873

There is no such thing as overpopulation. The world was created for people to live in. People are good. You can’t have too many people.

Most Achronim agree that oilam haba refers to yemois Hamoshiach where there will be a guf and a neshama. When a person dies he/she goes to oilam haneshomois, kind of like a storage facility until techiyas hameisim, where there will be oilam haba a real life and geheinoim also real life. If you were wondering how a person can burn in gehinoim if he dies, the gehinoim kicks in after techiyas hameisim

    #941875

To the original question, what a person will do at techiyas hameisim in terms of clothing. We believe that the ultimate nes will be techiyas hameisim. I am sure the clothing factor will be taken care of by the Ribonoi Shel Oilam who takes care of everything else.

But those clothes were taken off of him before burial? Also, does anyone have an objection regarding the idea that those recreated purely spiritual bodies will be clothed in ????? ????” (clothes of light) similar to Odom and Chava and not require physical clothes?
