July 21, 2013 4:34 pm at 4:34 pm #967085pixelateMemberSpeak to you Dr. and Rav. I know people who have a very hard time fasting, who practically lie in bed the whole day.
July 21, 2013 4:48 pm at 4:48 pm #967086Israeli ChareidiParticipantAlmonds or almond butter works well. Real licorice is also good (it’s one of the main ingredients in the fasting tablets), you can get drops at a health food store.
July 23, 2013 2:41 am at 2:41 am #967087yeshivish101Memberhas anybody heard of easyfasts.com…. they sell some sort of 100% natural fasting supplement pills. A few people just told me about it and swear by it that it works. One said they used to not be able to fast but now they take it and they are fine. Is this a common thing….is it famous and accepted?
July 23, 2013 5:25 am at 5:25 am #967088jewishfeminist02MemberI have never heard of it. My instinct is to be wary. Fasting is difficult (for a reason) and it’s going to be difficult no matter what you do.
July 24, 2013 4:34 am at 4:34 am #967089popa_bar_abbaParticipantIs there any issur in setting up a saline and glucose drip? You wouldn’t be dehydrated or weak at all.
July 24, 2013 6:58 am at 6:58 am #967090jewishfeminist02MemberThat would probably be allowed, & would be a good workaround for those who get physically ill from fasting.
