What are some good beis medrashim in Ey for your average black hat american 1st year place (high schools like sharei torah, yesodei, YOT)
Tomo and Mercaz Hatorah are the first places that pop into my head.
can you tell me a liitle about both of them @Burnt Steak
@jwashing ive recently been told about mercaz and tomo but have yet to hear anything else
yes i too have a child in 11th grade and i have just started to think about bm i would love to get more info
mercaz is the new hock.. look at other posts i put up info..
Isn’t this the third recent thread on basically the same subject? Can we consolidate, please?
It would also be nice if “they” consolidated usernames.
Are there any israeli yeshivas with large american population
Shaalavim, Hakotel, KBY, Gush are all hesder with large American population.
Any chareidi ones?
nem I can’t think of any first year places sorry.
Tomo (short for Toras Moshe) is a black hat non yeshivish place. It’s run by Rabbi Moshe Meiselman. Mir is also a good choice but most people don’t go there in first year. Torah Ore is a first year place. There’s an american section and an israeli section.
If you wanted a really top beit midrash in E”Y, you’d go to Merkaz HaRav or Gush Etzion.
