Trump looks different. Some sort of dangerous anger inside him is reflecting on his features. After what he said about Israel and all I really lost a lot of respect for him and realized a need for caution. He either changed or just showed his true colors.
Then again during his 2016 campaigns there were numerous “marketing mixups” when portraying SS soldiers on his ad instead of American, the whole discussion with the Jewish Republican coalition saying you won’t vote for me cause you control politicians with your money and so on, and the retweeting of anti semitism targeting Jewish journalists who hurt his sensitive ego so of course “all is allowed”.
I supported him but was aware of this from the beginning even though all the frum brainwashed attacked me for it. And after claiming Israel dragged him into killing irans general and he “feels uncomfortable about it”, and suddenly the Palis want peace and Israel are the ones who don’t and Abbas is a father figure to him, just shows that once someone hurts his ego he will flip a 180. He’s not to be trusted.
I would say the fact that he is suddenly encouraging vaccines and boosters after claiming to be against mandates proves it all further. He can be very dangerous. And the fact that he attracts such big crowds is frightening and reminiscent of other powerful and maniacal individuals.
Are you still behind trump 100 percent of did anyone notice some changes that make you reconsider. As it is right now he is likely the nominee and next president in 2024. There are some strong candidates on both sides for 2024 but the momentum is strong for this one. Didn’t all the favors feel too good to be true?January 13, 2022 9:34 pm at 9:34 pm #2051195
First time ever, I am actually rolling on the floor laughing. When I saw first line “trump looks different”, I wanted to joke “is this because he got the booster?”. Then, in the 3rd paragraph you actually say that!
How did you miss the whole 2020 where Trump focused on vaccine development, spent billions on it, appointed a general to organize distribution even while results were not available, the whole country was waiting for Phase 3 results, and Trump hoped to get them before elections (if you want to look for a conspiracy look into how results were reported after elections upon some FDA changing rules).January 13, 2022 9:57 pm at 9:57 pm #2051201TealParticipant
At first, or better said all through Trumps presidency I was cautious as to his real behavior, his real motive especially for us jews. But I MUST say, Trump definitely proved to be a true oheiv Yisrael. What he said about those jews who hate Israel, he meant jews that were born jews but not affiliated with Judaism. Jews like, chuck shumer, brad lander, bernie sanders etc etc…. Iowa, self hating jews. He didn’t mean us. He knows full well the truth . He may have a temper or attitude but he’s a leader and gets things done the right way without empty protocols.January 13, 2022 10:30 pm at 10:30 pm #2051208

Are you delusional? I said he looks different because he got the booster? That thought never crossed my mind let alone did I write it. I wrote “Some sort of dangerous anger inside him is reflecting on his features.”
And in the 3rd paragraph I wrote how he is suddenly encouraging vaccines after first coming out against the mandates.
But when I read your comment I wasnt rofl, I actually felt bad for your reading comprehension skills instead.Although I’m glad you got a laugh even if it was due to your own misunderstanding.January 13, 2022 10:31 pm at 10:31 pm #2051204☕️coffee addictParticipant

Rightwriter: You are totally accurate in your observation of something really wierdhas happened to Trumpkopf from having received a covid booster shot. Does anyone remember the epic movie , “The Incredible Hulk”. Well think of the new Trumpkopf as The Incredible Orange Hulk (rather than green). Clearly there was some unanticipated biochemical reaction between his body and the mRNA vaccine booster. There are unconfirmed reports he was seen hugging a “Dr. Fauci blowup doll” at a fund raising event for Mitch McConnell at Mar a Lago earlier this week while dancing to the new Lipa Schmeltzer arrangement of “YMCA”.January 14, 2022 12:48 am at 12:48 am #2051212
@Teal, I also don’t think he hates Jews, although it’s debatable how much he true heartedly likes Jews. I’m not just pointing out how he called out the Jews in name only, but first of all he generalized and said Jews as a whole so that’s already a poor statement, and also he went along with the classic Israel drags the US to war and controls the senate by saying just that, that Israel pressed him to carry out attack on Iran general (when in fact he told Israel that the US wants to be the one to do that), and saying how he feels uncomfortable for this decision of taking out the Iranian general, and that Israel controlled the US Congress until Obama put an end to it, and that he only moved the embassy for netanyahu not because he felt it should be moved. Oh ya and that the real enemy are the Israelis who don’t want peace since the Palestinians want peace and praised Abbas.
He basically flipped everything he said before and whether it’s due to his ego or anger, the results are the same and it’s dangerous no matter what motivates him to feel that way.January 14, 2022 12:49 am at 12:49 am #2051213
Yes but Trump was the only one who could conjure up such massive crowds, and turn politics into having more of a fanbase than sports. He is the only one who was able to influence or impact every single American whether on his side or not. All you heard from everyone was the word Trump. So if he chooses to go against Jews/Israel that would be devastating. And yes everything is from Hashem.January 14, 2022 9:37 am at 9:37 am #2051235ubiquitinParticipant
Trump didn’t change at all
You ask “Are you still behind trump 100 percent ” People who were behind him 100% arevery confusing to me. Trump has shown his true colors many many times
The question was ON BALANCE does/did the good outweigh the bad. To me not by a long shot, others felt that while he had many chisronos, on balance the good outweighed the bad. Sure as time passes they can reevaluate either based on new information (or perceived changes) or clearing up of old hidden information and now feel that on balance the good no longer outweighs the bad. Thats fair
but very few people here (if any) were ever behind Trump 100%. Though admittedly it did sound that way at times , but when push came to shove, most people conceded it wasnt 100% (why it was so hard for them to say that is a separate issue)
You say “just shows that once someone hurts his ego he will flip a 180. He’s not to be trusted.” this isn’t news Trump is not a young man he has been around and in the public view for decades. This was not a secret. It is a bit odd, that you ever thought that somehow you were special, and even if you (I dont mean you personally, I mean people/groups you care about) hurt his ego he would still be a mensch
“He basically flipped everything he said before”
That is literally his entire modus operandi. He was a Democrat as recently as 2009 , and has publicly identified as such , and with many “liberal” positions. It is confusing that you are surprised by this now
” And the fact that he attracts such big crowds is frightening and reminiscent of other powerful and maniacal individuals.”
again, very confusing. He did this in 2016 too.
EVERYTHING you have said was true in 2016.
Lastly, “I would say the fact that he is suddenly encouraging vaccines and boosters after claiming to be against mandates proves it all further. ”
This part doesnt prove anything. Encouraging vaccines has nothing to do with mandates. I encourage everybody to try french fries on Pizza, absolutely delicious game changer. Try it! even if you don;t like it at least you’ll know. that said I dont think there should be a mandate requiring you to try it. no contradiction there at allJanuary 14, 2022 10:28 am at 10:28 am #2051243Yserbius123Participant

Ubiquitin, I don’t think he really flip flopped on politics when he switched from Democrat to Republican. His view remained the same. He is not on the far-right of the Republican end. On social issues he remained the same. While his manner made him sound as if he was introducing some far out idea, his politics are centrist, and always has been.
I haven’t heard about these remarks mentioned by rightwriter. It does sound alarming. Besides, I don’t really think he’ll win again. His star has risen and gone down.January 14, 2022 11:23 am at 11:23 am #2051247
YS > weren’t you 100% in support of Trump during his presidency?
l’havdil, this is like people who follow daas Torah when convenient, and if not – going shopping for another one. It is an interesting moment indeed – whether some of the holdouts will listen to Trump or not. If we had menchen as politicians, we could have Biden, Trump, Sanders, Romney making commercials for vaccines all together a year ago.January 14, 2022 11:25 am at 11:25 am #2051246
maybe yo are right and vaccine and, kal bvehomer booster, affected him! His RNA is now different, his DNA is different ….
Most likely, he had covid side effects in October leading to “brain fog” that might have stopped him from taking advantage of Biden’s stare during debates – once when he was under covid and could not stop talking. It is also known that covid stays in various body parts, even in brain, way after a person is sick (shown by pathology). He most likely was still under brain fog even on J6 … Now when he took boosters and spends healthy time on the golf course, his brain fog cured and he realized that he needs to speak out and save lives and health of his supporters, as he need their vote in 2 years! So, hopefully you take his example, take the vaccine and continue protesting mandates. Gezunte heig.January 14, 2022 2:44 pm at 2:44 pm #2051291moishekapoiehParticipant
How frum Jews could ever support an orange-haired demagogue, con-artist, liar, lecher and now sore loser is way beyond me.
wake up, Jews, he only liked us because he hated muslims more, and has a jewish son-in-law.

Ubiquitin french fries on pizza isn’t new. Also by him supporting vaccines and encouraging them without mentioning he is against mandates, implies and gives the impression that he is for it. But of course he wants to show he is for it since he wants to claim that he saved the world since the vaccine was his work. Unfortunately for him Pfizer announced the vaccine what like 2 days after the election? How obvious it was a political move. So he tries playing both sides by showing he’s against mandates like vote for him to save everyone, on the other hand take the vaccine because he also is responsible for that and for saving everyone. It just doesn’t work that way unless you can say take the vaccine but also openly and clearly state you are against the mandates. Then people wouldn’t be confused.January 14, 2022 2:48 pm at 2:48 pm #2051285
Ubiquitin yes he also attracted crowds in 2016 and back then it aslo alarmed me to see how easily he can sway crowds. And it bothered me then as well since he spoke bluntly to the Jewish Republican coalition, retweeted anti semitic posts and other odd behaviors, but now he became even more open about it so it brought my attention back to it
Also haleivi you can just Google trump campaign ad SS soldiers, and also just search for trump antisemitic retweets or and check the YouTube video trump speaks to Jewish Republican coalition, I think some leftist newsites made lists of these things. Just Google and you will see these. Not to mention how the Trump ad against Hillary Clinton shows her face on a background of money with a big Jewish star next to her implying who she’s getting the money from. Of course when it attracted attention the Trump campaign claimed it was just a regular sheriff star but nevertheless changed it to a 5 corner star. Apparently they thought sheriff stars look like mogen David stars.
To all those asking questions, yes I supported trump and in a way still do (although not sure if he is who anyone needs again) and also when I supported him I wasnt a sheep and applauding for everything he did or said. I didn’t like the Jewish remarks or subtle hints, and I also didn’t like how he bullied everyone and still does. As a president I think he made many mistakes due to ego and lack of experience, although he also accomplished so much greatness that noone could have done(certainly not Obama) such as having strong world leaders fear him, meeting Kim jong in North Korea itself, and lowering the Palestinians down to zero where they didn’t even have confidence to open their mouth anymore. Unfortunately the momentum is over and I feel if he comes back he is there for personal unfinished business and you can already see that on his features. And no all you funnies, I didn’t say it’s from the vaccine. But if you so insist then maybe if that makes you happy.January 14, 2022 2:57 pm at 2:57 pm #2051282
I’m still trying to figure out why gadol and always ask are claiming that I said the vaccine and booster changed him even after I clarified again that I never even thought about saying that. I guess sometimes ignorance is best ignored so I’ll just do that
Yserbius as you can read by the examples I gave you can tell I wasn’t 100 percent supporter of everything. Btw nobody needs to support any politician or leader 100 percent. no it doesn’t. At all. And even if someone thought that was true, he specifically said the opposite
From his interview w/ Candace Owens “Forget about the mandates, people have to have their freedom, but at the same time, the vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind … I came up with a vaccine — with three vaccines,”
As to why many of Trump’s supporters have trouble with this simple distinction?

RW, re: connection on Trump and vaccine. How did I feel you are going to mention vaccines there? It seems that his pro-vaccine position (obvious for two years) somehow jarred you.
What is not clear why you are making such a big deal on “mandates” v. vaccines. You are happy to discuss this mandate issue that is something that government does, while there is a simple thing that each of people could do to protect themselves and others, and everyone from R Kanevsky to, l’havdil, AAQ, to Trump, to hospital statistics are telling you the same thing and you are still worrying about a government policy. >>>Why would you rather trump win? Biden isn’t good that’s obvious
I know I’m in the minority but I don’t consider Biden to more any more trustworthy or morally better than Trump AND I dislike his policies. Therefore if it would be Biden against Trump I hope Trump wins.
Biden became president through means of deception and claiming to be someone he wasn’t (a moderate , consensus builder, a competent person who leans across the aisle to get things done etc.) With all Trump’s faults he didn’t campaign on a false platform. Therefore I trust Biden even less than him.
Biden happens to have the brocha of being born with a better temperament, impulse control and a media looking to cover up for him. If Trump had those brochas he would still be president. But aside for temperament Bideni no less of a person who would do anything to stay in power. No matter the damage to the US . He is a demagogue just like Trump but he knows how to be more subtle. Trump should learn to keep quiet. Biden usually refuses to talk because like all liars he knows that keeping quiet will keep him out of trouble.
And this is aside from all of Bidens policies which have only caused problems, the absolute corrupt idiots he has appointed for judges and other federal positions etc.January 16, 2022 11:44 am at 11:44 am #2051539
smerel > I know I’m in the minority
You are one of 20%, maybe even less – 40% are always D-, 40% always R-. Your 20% believed Biden’s positioning and now abandoned him in droves. Currently, you are the majority within that 20%. I would not say he deceived that he is moderate/consensus builder/competent. First, he believes it himself, 2nd, his main inclination seems to be moderate in many cases. There were some flattering articles before elections quoting Israelis saying that he was an only one on Obama’s team who did not see Israel as an aggressor, bur remembered Yom Kippur war, etc and understood Israeli challenges. It might have been propaganda, but it ringed true. I am not sure why he is choosing to behave differently. Partly, it is advisors that control him and his message (during some recent Manchin’s weekend surprises, insider talk about how “white house got angry, called him”, “he notified white house only 30 minutes before”, some confusion, etc, all implicit that these were staffers, not President, involved. Was he was fishing, sleeping, watching Fox? Maybe J6 commission can find out. But maybe also power went to his head, he was always slighted – from nuns to mediocre law student at a mediocre law school to being a barely tolerated VP for 8 years and ignored in 2016. So, he wants to be a transformative president and people around him flatter him?January 16, 2022 11:44 am at 11:44 am #2051535

If you don’t like Biden’s policies then give all the money he gave you and the Jewish institutions back in the 1.9 trillion covid relief bill
Don’t drive over the bridges and roads that are going to be repaired and built by his 1 trillion infrastructure bill.
(Maybe I should write “when bridges start crumbling and roads are impassable , can you hear us now?)
Don’t use the internet network that he is upgrading.
Don’t take the vaccines that he has ordered.
Don’t use the billion at home Covid tests that he is sending to Americans.
When you wait 4 hours in line to vote next November (or just give up and not even try) you can thank the Republican’s for making it harder for American’s to vote because they won’t pass Biden’s Voting Right’s legislation.
When working American’s are getting paid more for their work in 2022 than they ever did, you can thank Biden. The unemployment rate fell to just 4.2 percent in November—a 21-month low and jobless claims fell to their lowest levels since 1969 in early December.January 16, 2022 3:20 pm at 3:20 pm #2051593

jackk, most of what you are writing is pure propaganda and you know it: spending other people’s money is easy, the question is always – what was the alternative. And even those that you mention are mostly in the future or past – nothing new on vaccines; covid tests during next 6 months when crisis was last month; roads will be repaired in the future.
what is worth noting is your view of economy – by unemployment rate. Please take a minute to study “labor participation rate” that is a better measure that includes people who stopped (or started) looking for work. For a big picture:
Carter 2% up 62 to 64% (1966 to 1989 grows at almost constant rate)
Reagan – 3% up from 64% to 67%
Bush I – 1% down
Clinton 1% up
Bush II 1% down
Obama 3.5% down (decline 2008-14 then constant) – 63% – 1% lower than at start of Reagan
Trump 0.5% up, 3% lost to Covid, 1.3% recovered, for a total -1.2% down
Biden so far 0.4% up (1.5% below pre-covid)
so, on this measure Biden’s continue recovery similar to how it was going at the end of Trump term, not bad, not exceptional either. Overall trend after Reagan is down, with Clinton a little up, and Obama most down.January 16, 2022 4:11 pm at 4:11 pm #2051590
I think that if the media and world hadn’t been pressing Trump from day 1 or rather even before he took office, he wouldn’t have had to go so extreme. He did say some “funny” things here and there but what president doesn’t? Didn’t Obama make a fool of himself and America when meeting with the Queen and raising his glass when everyone ignored him since he was out of line? Those things happen in a presidency, but to literally attack Trump on every word and every step is something that not everyone can fight through and he did he literally fought the entire world for 4 years. And it’s a shame the attacks kept coming since he was on the right track for many things and accomplished good things as well and could have been much better without the constant bees stinging from every direction at every moment.
Now that it didn’t turn out that way I feel Trump is so extreme and that’s what happens when the left pushes the right, the right becomes extreme in order to counter.
It seems that Trump just has to be back for the second term it is inevitable at this point. He has a lot of momentum and is highly relevant thanks to the leftist press. I don’t like and never did like the extreme white supremacists crowds he attracts but on the other hand do I like the BLM and Antifa crowds that the left attracts and actually encourages, definitely not.
There are a lot of great republican candidates such as Desantis, Haley and others or even Tulsi from the Democratic party who is more of a republican if anything. But if Trump does win I don’t mind his antics he is actually quite entertaining and charismatic but I’m just hoping he will be good with the Jews and Israel and America in general. If he would be similar to how he was in the first term minus the recklessness that was forced by the leftist media then that would be great.January 16, 2022 4:52 pm at 4:52 pm #2051628
conspiracy theory: maybe Biden is actually governing to the center by trying all crazy lefty ideas one after another and demonstrating that none can pass the Senate. Trump never was and never will be the only president to be attacked on his every word.
Where did you get this idea from ?
Fox news ands the media to the right are 24/7 bashing Biden. We even have some Jewish media who are part of that crowd.
Trump was and will be the only president who responded daily to very single criticism of him.
Trump had multiple tweets sent out daily responding to everybody. He responded to regular american citizens, world leaders ( famous rocket man), civil servants in the FBI and DOJ, and finally former members of his administration who he decided had crossed him.
Many people interpret this behavior as being beneath the dignity of the office.
Others interpret it that he is thin skinned narcissist who is not fitting to be in a position of leadership.January 17, 2022 12:38 pm at 12:38 pm #2051809
>>>I think that if the media and world hadn’t been pressing Trump from day 1 or rather even before he took office, he wouldn’t have had to go so extreme.
The rov of my shul almost never mentions politics (maybe once in five years) I have no idea what his personal political views are . Even so he did once make the point that Hashem is mevakash es nirdof even is a Tzadik is being rodef a Rasha . And in the case of Trump the people being rodef him aren’t tzadikim…
He said it in an almost neutral political context . Just making the point that the ENDLESS investigations and allegations (many proven false already) against Trump being made by open enemies with obvious personal gain and even impeachment trials being judged by open enemies who weren’t even paying lip service to listening to both sides before deciding how they would vote is totally incompatible with Halacha and Torah Haskafa and frum people should realize thatJanuary 17, 2022 2:34 pm at 2:34 pm #2051897
jackk > Trump was and will be the only president who responded daily to very single criticism of him.
jackk, first I hope you will agree with the premise that R- presidents are in a much worse position. It was way worse before talk radios and cable TV and access to multiple papers online. Even now, most media is left-wing.
So, Trump responding on Twitter directly is a revolutionary way to respond directly without being misquoted and “put into context”. Obama did not need that. Papers created a favorable environment for him.January 17, 2022 3:03 pm at 3:03 pm #2051901
smerel > ENDLESS investigations and allegations
I am very surprised, if not in owe, that so far none of them showed any results. Given type of businesses Trump is involved, you would think you can find enough underpaid contractors, illegal gardeners, shady tax loopholes. Remember some women nominees who turned out not to pay taxes for babysitters. So far, current worst is that T paid tzedokah to Jewish schools that were actually an indirect payment to his accountant, so the accountant had to pay taxes.January 17, 2022 3:08 pm at 3:08 pm #2051909
I respectfully disagree with your premise.
Before talk radio – that would be over 30 years ago , when Rush began EIB. Rush crucified Clinton daily. (I remember!). So for 30 years , democratic presidents have been pummeled daily.
Most media is not left-wing. It is a myth. Fox news is not left wing and they have a enormous following. So do newsmax and others.
Twitter, FB and other social media are not news organizations.
Trump responding is THE issue. No other president did. Did you see the examples I used ? He attacked regular americans, american businesses and others daily.
All his tweets are archived so he can’t deny a single one.
Biden uses twitter the way you think Trump did. He sends out daily messages of his accomplishments, thoughts and plans . They are from his office and they are well articulated and without spelling and grammar mistakes. He doesn’t use it to attack or embarrass anybody.January 17, 2022 5:28 pm at 5:28 pm #2051937
Jack, there’s a difference between presidents being attacked. Obama could have withdrew Afghanistan Biden style and still would have been praised. Even the good things that Trump had done were being shown in a negative light by the media, and twisting the whole narrative to show how bad it was. Also you can’t compare a single fox news to the whole media which is leftist and majority.
As far as Biden goes there is a lot to be critical of so it’s not comparable. I’m sure if by Trump cooling terms with North Korea which noone could have done but him, shutting the mouth of the Palestinians to the point that they practically gave up on having their own state and accepting Israel as the only country, being on good terms with Putin, and having the world leaders fear and respect the U.S., if the media hadn’t attacked him on that and actually recognized the strong moves, he wouldn’t have been so extreme this time around. But they just wouldn’t have it no matter what they hated Trump because he wasnt letting the leftist corruption have their way.
The problem is when the left pushes the right so much, the right becomes very extreme and dangerous.January 17, 2022 5:54 pm at 5:54 pm #2051941
AAQ and RW,
Here is a statistic that I do not vouch for its truth but it is scary if true.
McNeil did the math:
As of this week, about 1,800 Americans a day are dying of Covid; the C.D.C. expects that number to rise above 2,600. Virtually all are adults. If 95 percent were unvaccinated and we assume that 75 percent of those were Trump supporters, that’s 1,300 to 1,900 of his voters being subtracted from the rolls every single day.
Donald Trump lost Arizona by a mere 10,000 votes. He lost Georgia by 12,000, He lost Wisconsin by 21,000. He lost Nevada by 33,000. Right now, about 60 Arizonans, 36 Georgians, 34 Wisconsinites and 14 Nevadans are dying of Covid each day. Seventy five percent of 95 percent of that would be minus 103 Trump voters per day — just in those four swing states. Week after week. That adds up.January 17, 2022 5:56 pm at 5:56 pm #2051944
Sorry, I simply disagree with all of your assessments.
“Obama could have withdrew Afghanistan Biden style and still would have been praised.”
“Even the good things that Trump had done were being shown in a negative light by the media, and twisting the whole narrative to show how bad it was.”
Can you bring a single proof to these 2 points or is this just repeating Trump talking points ?
“Also you can’t compare a single fox news to the whole media which is leftist and majority.”
Yes, I can.
What is the “whole media” ?
Fox news is not a single entity. It has tentacles. Besides Fox, in print media there is the WSJ. In Online media you have National Review, Washington’s free beacon, The Federalist, The Washington Times, The Washington Examiner, The American Thinker, TheBlaze and RedState.
Also, what makes the left wing media the majority? You have numbers to prove it?
The crux of the matter is that nowadays , hundreds of millions of americans never have to read or hear a single left wing media news report. They can choose to listen to exclusively right wing media.
Their facts and opinions are not being informed by the “WHOLE media.” They are tuning into right wing media.
Trump did not cool anything with NK. It was a total disaster for him and for America.
Trump was totally disgraced by the NK dictator at the Feb 2019 summit. On February 28, 2019, the White House announced that the summit was cut short(!) and that no agreement was reached (!). Trump walked out on it because Kim Jong-un wouldn’t give him what he wanted.
Imagine if that was Biden/Obama, would you call that success?
Palestinians knew that Trump wasn’t a fair third-party so they completely ignored any overtures for peace that he proffered. For 4 years , peace in the ME was not on the table.
Putin is still in Crimea and is poised to go into Ukraine. Trump did zilch with him.
World leaders all laughed at Trump. They even cringed when they had to deal with Ivanka as if she earned her position.
Listen to his speech at the UN .
President’s shouldn’t react to the media . They should be level-headed and listen to their advisers and decide on the best course of action.
I agree – the right feels that they can get away with everything – even a coup and an insurrection.January 17, 2022 6:35 pm at 6:35 pm #2051951🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant
Jackk – hi. I have read not one post on this thread and am not here to join the conversation. I wanted to contribute to you personally some info given to me by health care providers (first hand) in one of the biggest health care systems in my area. It is in response to this line of yours that was quoted to me by someone involved in this topic:
“As of this week, about 1,800 Americans a day are dying of Covid; the C.D.C. expects that number to rise above 2,600. Virtually all are adults. If 95 percent were unvaccinated… “
I was in the hospital recently for a procedure and spoke to several health care workers, some who worked the covid units from the beginning. Here is what I was told. The patients dying of covid right now are not dying of covid, they are dying with covid. Covid is not the cause of the fatalities right now. Also, the reason so many unvaccinated are dying (and this was said by someone who advocates for vaccines, as do I) is because many with comorbidities are unable to vaccinate and it is also that reality that leaves them ill in the hospital, with or without covid. He did not say there are no people who are unvaccinated who are sick from covid, but he said that there are very few who are very sick because of covid, that the percentage of unvaxxed to vaxxed is closer to 60-40 and that covid is not sending people to the ICU, intubation or ECMO.
These individuals who I spoke to are PRO vaccines, do not understand anyone ever turning one down, but they said that the portrayal of what is actually going on inside the walls of the hospital has not been realistic from day one (read: under either administration)January 17, 2022 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm #2051958
jackk > Can you bring a single proof to these 2 points
Most thoughtful republicans and a number of moderate D-s, when interviewed at length, agree with most of Trump’s policy positions and achievements. Another experiment that you can make yourself to avoid bias: look at what was said about Trump’s ideas at the beginning: vaccine, pressure against Nordstream2, Israel-Arab talks, economic policies, stay in Mexico, tariffs on China, Covid stimulus … all were laughed at. Then, after a success, “everyone would do that”. Look how many are still in place or repeated by Biden. Yes, he did not buy Greenland yet, and HCQ did not work out for everyone, but the list of successes is impressive.January 17, 2022 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm #2051961
jackk > Palestinians knew that Trump wasn’t a fair third-party so they completely ignored any overtures for peace that he proffered. For 4 years , peace in the ME was not on the table.
You are just ignoring everything Trump actually achieved in ME, just because he did not achieve it thru the way preferred by you (and tried by others with no success), from ISIS to Abrahamic accords to Yerushalaim to pressure on Iran
> Putin is still in Crimea and is poised to go into Ukraine. Trump did zilch with him.
Trump started giving actual weapons to Ukraine and stopped further losses. Ukraine’s democracy continued to become stronger, NATO troops now “rotate” to Baltics. He send envoys to Europe to fight Nordstream 2 and also blocking Chinese participation in telecoms irritating Europeans.
>> President’s shouldn’t react to the media . They should be level-headed and listen to their advisers and decide on the best course of action.
R- presidents can’t rely on media to reach the people, unless they already chose, as you said, to listen to Fox. Trump was able to reach a lot of voters outside of traditional R-s, such as Hispanics, both by his policies and messaging.
