Does anyone know of where we can get gowns? we are not picky about buying vs rental vs custom vs gemachs, just looking for places not too far from the five towns.
Download the Chessed Network Newsletter (I think it is ChessedNetworkNews.com) and they have a list of the gown gemachs. You might also find the information in the Esra Magazine in the back, or Kallah Magazine.

just beware, a kallah gown can easily go for 2 grand!

does anyone know of a true gemach, meaning that they let you use a gown & don’t charge you anything, everyone we’ve been to charges big bucks, you can just about buy a new inexpensive one for about the same amount
First of all, MAZAL TOV!
Secondly, I highly recommend getting a hold of the “Chosson Kallah Guide” available in various locations. It’s very useful for preparing for the Chasunah, has articles, addresses, coupons, and tons more. The Guide should tell you where you can go for gowns and for everything.
Third, as far as free gowns, I don’t know Brooklyn, but Kaila Stern’s Gemach in Lakewood has gorgeous gowns for no charge (there is a suggested donation, though, which is not high at all, and no one feels pressured to give it.)
I know there’s a satmar gemach in willi. But I don’t know their number or any other info.
I did see some BEAUTIFUL gowns from them on some kallahs.
Mazel tov, mazel tov! There is a gemach in Far Rockaway. I believe Raizy Adler has it in her house. I think she lives on Broadway or Empire (whatever the street is at that point, one is a continuation of the other)

there is a Gemach associated with TAG (the name on the check they used in doing business with us) One of the signers on the check is Annette Barzilay

I did not Raizy Adler has a gown gemach. Very Nice. Beatrice Braun from Lawrence ( I think she lives on Martin Lane ) has beautiful gowns for Mother of the kallah/chosson, and sisters too.
Aliza Safier ( Far Rockaway, on Oak ) has a gown gemach for little girls. (up to preteens I think.) Mazal tov to the happy couple and their families. I love hearing about smachos.

Does anyone know about Ehrenfeld’s Gemach in Boro Park? Somehow getting a lot of people telling me to go there. Is the new Satmar Gemach better?
