This got me thinking – have you ever found a really old / rare / valuable coin?
Have you ever found some other rare and/or collectible object such as:
– A Van Gogh at a garage sale
– A real diamond at a costume jewelry sale
– A first-edition rare book such as a Poe
– An ancient comic book
– Antique furniture
– A old letter signed by a famous historical figure
– A buried or underwater item of interest
– A clam with a pearl in it (on the beach of course, we know they’re not kosher)
– Etc.

I once found alot of comic books and I sold them for $500 (I could have gotten more had I known what they were actually worth)

Finding G-d’s Torah. That was a real find. And my children and my children’s children will feel the same way.
i once heard a story about this group of jews a while back who found this jar of oil hidden amongs the rubble of the temple…burned for 8 days or some such…gotta say that takes the latke.
The best things that I have found in very recent years are the joys of attending shul and Shabbat. Along the way, I made a whole new circle of wonderful friends. What could be better to have in one’s life but shul, Shabbat and friends. Oh, and of course, Torah.
